    what's next for this space?

Went for Thanksgiving and the food was good...The food is good. Stopped in to see what they were doing for new years but somehow the management has the wrong idea for the space and instead of classy they are trying to have a club scene. There is better chinese in chinatown at a better price...maybe you don't get this interesting open space but since they aren't going to use it to it's advantage you are better off going elsewhere.

    Poor host/hostess service

When you walk into this place (or at least when I did) the host and hostess are talking to each other and refused to make eye contact with me for about 2 minutes. I was starting to get really offended but my gf wanted to try this place so I said let's try to get a seat. When I was finally addressed by the host he stated that there were no tables but we were free to eat at the bar which serves the full restaurant menu. The food was ok, not great, not bad. Just decent. The atmosphere was really nice. So all in all not a bad place, just expensive. You would think for the prices they charge that they would treat you nicely when you walk inside -- not true here!

    Hostile Hostess

Everything about this restaurant is good except for an arrogant hostess. Acted like she was doing us a favor by seating us and when there was a problem with the seating became even more arrogant. Also, as noted in previous review, maitre d' appears to be totally uninterested in keeping his customers happy. Luckily, the food, atmosphere and our fabulous waiter made the night worthwhile.

    Chinalicious

This place was amazing. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Best nice Chinese food in the city by far. The dim sum is spectacular as is the black bean chicken and moo shu pancakes. Definitely a hit.

Best high-end chinese food in the city..

I've been to this place on 3 separate occasions and here is my 2 cents: Food: Honeslty, it is the best chinese food i have eaten in the city. The dim-sum selection is amazing, esp the soup dim sums. The orange-beef tastes like it has fresh orange peel in it - fantastic. And the crispy whole sea bass is exquisite. The Peking duck is also a winner. The drinks are always innovative and tasty. Service: Had no problem getting our seats and the wait staff was polite, efficient and very knowledgeable. Only complaint is that the bus boys sometimes are a little bit hasty in removing the dishes before everyone has finished. Value: The place is not cheap. But if you want great chinese food in a nice, upscale restaurant, this is the choice. This place is worth the $$$$. Atmosphere: I love the look and feel of the place as it reminds me of an upscale restaurant in Hong Kong. The booths are great for a group and the lighting and music gave the place a great vibe for a fun time with friends. Would'nt recommend it for a first date.

    Okay experience

While the noodles and fried rice were tasty everything else was below average. Better off saving your money and eating at a more reasonably priced chinese restaurant
