We had our wedding at Chinar on September 1st (Labor Day weekend) and it was an unforgettable experience. I am going to divide my review into sections to make sure that I cover all the aspects of our event. The planning – from the first meeting with the owner, it was clear that you will get everything that you ask for. Every wish and demand, no matter how challenging, was met with understanding and consideration. He makes you feel that your special day will be grand and exceptional and very unique. The room – the restaurant itself is very beautifully decorated. It has a classic European charm that can be found in the traditional Parisian venues (a side note, we recently visited Paris and the décor was very much like Le Cinq). The soft hues of beige and gold, the posh crystal chandeliers, the iron candleholders are complimented by beautiful tablecloths and posh china. Everything is in such harmony; it comes as one perfect picture. Cocktail Hour – we had an open bar, which was tended by several bartenders so there was no line. The bartenders were very professional and were able to accommodate any request. The menu was exquisite. The food was delicious but not only that, it was so beautifully presented. Every dish was a work of art. The service was so flawless, there was never a pause in services or an empty space or disheveled plate. Everything looked exceptional and intact. And here I have to mention the work of the superb waiting team. All of the staff, every single one of them, was sharply dressed, skilled and polite. Reception - the table design was extremely convenient for our guests. And of course, the food, served family style was absolutely delicious, really 5+ star quality. We are big foodies and visited some of the finest restaurants in New York, Paris and Rome. The quality of food at Chinar is outstanding, and presentation – as I mentioned earlier – just fabulous. Dessert table – this was just the event of its own. It was truly the piece of art with countless mouse watering desserts, chocolate swans, and gigantic fruit platters with every exotic fruit imaginable. Everything runs as a well-oiled machine, behind the scenes, just shows an excellent job by the management and skilful staff.

Chinar is a great place to go for an amazing time. The music is great and the food unbelievable.

This place used to be called Metropole, then it changed the name and ownership to Chinar, nothing like it used to be ever since. Food is so so, price is unreasonable high, service is extremely poor.

As soon as i walked into this place i fell in love. The music was amazing, the food was even better. I cannot even imagine anyone thinking otherwise. If you think the food was bad you are uncultured and uneducated. Their service is top notch and i could not recommend a better place to celebrate an event or just to go have fun. Overall this place is one of my favorite restaurants! I highly recommend for everyone to go there

Excellent place for special occasions. My engagement party and family birthday parties were in this great restaurant. Food is delicious, service is exceptional and singers are talented. I truly think this the best Russian restaurant in the market; I guess that is why one should book a table in the restaurant well in advance.
