Too tight, food so so
This place used to be called Metropole, then it changed the name and ownership to Chinar, nothing like it used to be ever since. Food is so so, price is unreasonable high, service is extremely poor.

Best Restaurant Ever
As soon as i walked into this place i fell in love. The music was amazing, the food was even better. I cannot even imagine anyone thinking otherwise. If you think the food was bad you are uncultured and uneducated. Their service is top notch and i could not recommend a better place to celebrate an event or just to go have fun. Overall this place is one of my favorite restaurants! I highly recommend for everyone to go there

Excellent place
Excellent place for special occasions. My engagement party and family birthday parties were in this great restaurant. Food is delicious, service is exceptional and singers are talented. I truly think this the best Russian restaurant in the market; I guess that is why one should book a table in the restaurant well in advance.

Not bad
The food was OK. The band had an hour of intermission- couldn't dance at the time at all. At least they could have put on recoded music. The service was good- too good- they kept taking my plate away even though I wasn't finished.

One of the greatest experiences!
There's nothing like this restaurant. The atmosphere is incredible, food is amazing, and music is fun. My all time favorite place in NY!

Obnoxious band leader. He tries to play music which he likes regardles of what people think.
