i loved the little fish up front. The food itself was pretty good, but a little bit on the greasy side. I live right next to it, so I go there at least once a week. The food comes fast, especially through delivery. Also, the place itself was beautiful.

Delivery; first time Fried pork dumplings: tough, inedible Szechuan dumplings: overly thick & pasty wonton skin, also inedible scalion pancakes: tough, over fried and inedible. Gave crdit card for a charge; upon arrival the delivery asked for cash. Hostile when we called to complain about the poor quality of the food.

Have tried a bunch of different places and consistently disappointed by the Chinese food. China Place delivered quickly, the lunch menu was cheap, and the portions are big. Fried rice wasn't good..it was just rice fried w/ eggs.. nothing else. The egg drop soup was decent. The chicken and mushroom was good. The eggroll was ok.. Overall..I'd order from here again when craving Chinese..better than other places for the value.

Definitely my new fave Chinese takeout. Just ordered for the first time- delivery was prompt, and their vegetable dumplings were flavorful (rare for places around here), though disconcertingly bright green. The calamari was actually tender and delicious and also flavorful, and while i would never think to put jalepeno peppers on calamari instead of lemon, the flavor combo was PERFECT. The delivery came with a menu for Hana sushi, which is my favorite sushi takeout place, so I guess whoever manages these two places is doing something right.

China Place is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The food is always great.
