Neighborhood Delight
I live just a block away from this hole in the wall spot, but must admit it is the best deal on Chinese dumplings, spring rolls, pancakes, and soups I have ever had in all of my life as a native New Yorker. The quality of the food is beyond exceptional, especially when the outstandingly cheap prices are taken into account. This spot is not pretty, but sitting down for a quick bite is always worth while.

Hidden Gem
There are many dumpling places in the neighborhood, but this is my favorite by far! The vegetable dumplings are always freshly made and the hot and sour soup is divine.

Got me through 1o month of unemployment
When I first arrived in NY as a Canadian with pending job and visa issues, I lived off of 1$ dumplings for 10 month. Of the numerous dumpling joints, this was definitely my favorite!! They have amazing fresh vegetable dumpling and perfectly pan fried pork and chives potstickers. The cutest Chinese grandmother would display the dexterity of her wrinkled hands by rolling out perfectly round wrappings. I still remember the day I found a write up in the "Village Voice" about how delicious the food was there. I was excited to show the employee only to realize he didn't understand what it was about. My broken Chinese didn't help. He kindly took the paper and from the corner of my eye, I watched him chuck it in the trash as I was leaving.
