Not worth it
The cold duck salad was great, but everything else was so so. The room is loud, cold and uninviting. The first table where they seated us, was rediculous. The second not much better, both were next to service stations. Too expensive for what you got. And loose the attitude!

How The Mighty Have Fallen
This place used to be a haunt. Then their success went to their head. Now it's embarrassingly bad. The food is still alright (no longer great, just passable) but the employees are a disgrace, service stinks and the prices are way too high . From the miserable folk who man the front desk, to the waiters who snarl, if this place was in Paris, you'd walk out. The fact that it's in NYC makes you wonder what the boss is thinking. Shame on him! With so many good restaurants within walking distance, the only hope is these folk go broke sooner rather than later, and someone else takes over. Oh for the good old days when they cared!

Wonderful
I went with a group of girls to this restaurant and it was awesome! Our last two entrées arrived 5 mins late, we were having such a good time we didn't even notice. The manager came right over and apologized for them being late and gave us the last 2 entrées on the house. wow! I didn't know good customer service still existed.

What's all the hype?
Went on a Saturday night. The only thing worth getting here are the lobster rolls. Everything else is sub-par, including the decor and can we talk about the music for a second? Really loud and just offensive. I don't need to reminisce about Seal's Kissed by a Rose or Shaggy's Wasn't Me while I'm trying to eat. Totally takes away from the ambience. The service was good but the final bill will hurt you a little.

Great Meal
Walked in with a friend on a thursday night around 7:30 had a couple of drinks, and shared a couple of plates. The dumplings were fantastic, and the other two dishes were very good. Did not disappoint.

Nice chinese
Excellent quality but very pricey. Negatives: it is noisy and also small portions- you will walk out hungry unless you order many items.

China Grill not Bun Lai or Miya's Sushi!
Whenever I have fusion Asian like China Grill I can't help but compare it to a restaurant I used to frequent as an undergraduate at Yale. Firstly, China Grill is very good, albeit expensive but then all of New York is. In New Haven, I used to hang out with chef Bun Lai, the artist/mastermind/genius behind the cultishly famed Miya's Sushi, where everything is delectable almost beyond reason - because so many of the combinations of ingredients don't seem...reasonable. Anyway, a thumbs up for China Grill. Two thumbs for Miya's Sushi thay I miss more than I can say.
