Worst value in town
Overpriced and not very good. The moo shu pork should have come with 4 pancakes not two, you know how much I paid for those pancakes $10.95; you heard me 10.95!

Don't bother
First - an hour for chinese food in NYC is ridiculous especially in good weather. I had to call twice and speak to 3 different people to find out the status of my order. When I finally got someone was told "he left a while ago." The delivery person also had to call although the address was clearly on the receipt (i ordered online) but apparently he couldn't read the difference between D and C (he rang my neighbors door 3x. when the food got here it was barely room temperature. the dumplings were doughy and greasy, the egg rolls were tough and cold and we didn't bother with the chicken and broccoli as the broccoli was a brownish green and the sauce had already congealed around the meat. We ended up throwing most of it out - a total waste of time and money although we clearly did the food a favor.

Comments on delivery and quality
To those complaining about delivery: I have not had any bad experiences with China Fun delivery for at least ten years. Of course, I tend to tip reasonably well for delivery, 20% with a minimum of $5 regardless (more in bad weather). Don't forget, this is their living, it's not really a tip, so that's very reasonable, especially in inclement weather (like the recent blizzard). The solution is to automatically add a service charge to the bill, as Flor de Mayo does. As to food quality: China Fun is typical for most UWS Chinese places outside of Chinatown (Manh. or Flushing), with a few exceptions. Much better than Ollies, not as good as Grand Sichuan in Chlesea, (or other restaurants now departed), for example. It easily meets or exceeds my expectations in it's tier among Chinese restaurants. I do, however, agree that it's not as good as it once was back in the day.

Most authentic Chinese food on UWS
you shouldn't come here looking for ambiance or the traditional greasy fast food chinese shops. but, this is the most authentic chinese food on the uws, even offering the traditional breakfast (soymilk, congee, crispy cruller chinese style) that you usually have to go to chinatown or flushing for. I was originally turned off by the name and what i thought was another americanized chinese restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised when a friend recommended it.

Negative negative negative
We ordered China Fun again the other night, because there's so little good Chinese food above 72nd Street on the West Side, and China Fun has a nice reputation, so fine, we'll try it once more. What we got: hard wontons in our soup; flavorless mei fun stirfry with supermarket-brand-caliber pasta passing as the "rice noodle"--they even said "rice noodle" on the phone--and generally mediocre dumplings, spare ribs and an egg roll. And to top it off, the food was loaded with MSG. I didn't sleep a wink that night. This array of disappointment cost us $36, including a $2 delivery charge undisclosed when we ordered. I could have gotten twice as much food for less money from most other UWS Chinese places, and they all would have tasted better. We have thrown out our China Fun delivery menu.

Not Bad
We tried this because it had Dim Sum - the food was okay; the prices were what we expected on the Upper West Side. The service and atmosphere (the place seems a little dark and greasy) were a minus, but the Kung Pao and BBQ Pork Rolls were great!

Terrible.
I thought even bad Chinese food was still pretty good, until I ordered takeout from China Fun. The chicken with cashew nuts was just that -- chicken with cashew nuts (no veggies, nada), and it wasn't even GOOD chicken with cashew nuts. The rest of our meal was chewy and tasteless. The soup dumplings were the only good thing about the meal, and I think maybe that's a fluke. We won't order from them again.
