I walked by Chimichurri a few years ago and dropped in, having just moved to the neighborhood, and I'm glad I did! I've been going ever since, the food is so fresh and terrific! I love the grilled calamari, the churrasco is amazing along with the "burnt" cauliflower (which is actually Carmelites). The wine is amazing here as well! I also love the staff and owners, after going there over the years they seem more like family to me.

Food was good but I found it a bit pricey considering the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. The staff could have been a bit more friendly and inviting. I had the churasco and it was tender and delicious as well as the blood suasage. Not the best Argentinian food but so so over all!

They had a vegetarian casserole that was out of this world (apparently an Argentine specialty, simply freed of its meat). And they also came through with the sure-fire Argentine watercress salad.

I had eaten here twice before, but always in a rush. This time, we were able to do a long, leisurely meal, and it was just perfect. A Babette's feast. We had the special appetizer - grilled oysters. I would go back every day if I lived closer for them! Followed by the romaine lettuce salad. I had what I always have the grilled baby lamb -- perfect. All the sides, perfect. And then the dessert -- my god - poached figs with feta cheese. Sounds odd, but it was entirely delectable. The waiter chose a great malbec for us and I was in heaven throughout. This is what NY dining should be -- these small jewels of unexpected achievement. It takes a ton of thought and attention to detail to produce that meal. Thank you!

I have been going to Chimichurri since 2005, then across the street from where it is today. The food was excellent as usual. Service was never a big issue for me but this time it was beyond inappropriate and rude. I went there with 5 coworkers (6 of us in total). After we decided not to order dessert, they immediately brought the check, well above $500. Less than a minute after dropping the check, they came for the payment. We told them to give us a minute. They collected the check and offered to bring our coats. We asked for another minute. This time the chef/owner came to the table and said they needed the table. As we were leaving I approached the chef/owner to tell him that what his attitude was completely inappropriate, that he was practically throwing us out. His response was that if we want to have a business meeting, we should go someplace else. Quite frankly, what an utter display of poor manners.

We went there for dinner and were pleased that we chose this restaurant. The music was good(tango of course) and the meat was excellent. Sorry that the service was not as good as the dinner itself . Waiter was not very interested to work and seemed bored there... Could be great with better service ...

My husband and I ate at Chimichurri Grill tonight and LOVED it. The food was excellent and the service was great. We have been to a lot of Argentine places around the city and this was the best food overall. The sweetbreads were just like in Buenos Aries and the rest of the meat on the mixed grill was fantastic. This is an undiscovered gem. We had been to their previous location across the street but the new space is stylish and more modern. Felt a bit like Palermo soho in BA. This is the real deal. go here now.
