Best Argentine Food in Manhattan
My husband and I ate at Chimichurri Grill tonight and LOVED it. The food was excellent and the service was great. We have been to a lot of Argentine places around the city and this was the best food overall. The sweetbreads were just like in Buenos Aries and the rest of the meat on the mixed grill was fantastic. This is an undiscovered gem. We had been to their previous location across the street but the new space is stylish and more modern. Felt a bit like Palermo soho in BA. This is the real deal. go here now.

Best Lamb rack in town.
Seriously, the rack of lamb is up there with the best I've eaten. Service is always friendly and personal, and I love their wine list. We visit Chimi's once a month or so, as it's local, and are never disappointed. Highly recommended.

Nostalgic place
I like this place. It's small but the ambience is right. Perfect steak, good wine also.

Good food, subpar service
The hanger steak was delicious, but the chimichurri sauce is overrated. Don't get the tomato/onion side dish. The service was not good. It was impossible to place our order, and anytime we asked our waiter for something, he gave us an attitude like we were bothering him. When he was pouring wine, he noticed that the glass was cracked. He took it back, promising to bring back a glass of wine, but we had to remind him to do this, and we had to ask him for it, he looked at us like we were some annoying children or something. We were even nice enough to move our table so that a bigger party could be seated, but they didn't seem to appreciate it very much.

Good, not great
Very nice cozy atmosphere. The waiting staff was very courteous and they gave you space to enjoy the meal and the time at the restaurant. Shared empanadas as a starter and they were excellent. Very moist on the inside. We both had steak, hangar and skirt. Both were good, but the meat itself lacked flavor. Enjoyed a Malbec with dinner. It's a place that was worth trying.

Cozy atmosphere, good food
Visited last night and had light meal before theatre. The place has no curb appeal, but inside is cozy and clean. The service was excellent and the meat (the star of the show) was very good. We started by sharing a grilled asparagus dish that was nice and crunchy and then I had the hangar steak and my husband the filet mignon. Both were good - though the hangar steak had more oomph. No room for dessert. With three glasses of malbec the bill was $78, not bad for the area. One word of caution - the veggies that come with the entrees are garnishes only, so if you want fried potatoes or another substantial side dish you will need to order it separately. For low-carb meat-eating folks like us the serving sizes were ideal.
