everyday kinda place
We love Chez Oskar- worth the trip just for the steak tartar. Its a good value, especially if you try and have some appetizers as entrees (they can be quite large). Also all-you-can-eat mussels night is a favorite. Try and sit outside in the summers and bring your dog.

Good food
Stopped by on a Friday afternoon. Restaurant not busy, so service was good and prompt. Enjoyed the mojito. Lamburger seasoned well, nice crunchy fries. Would return, although a bit overpriced.

I don't get it
This place is always packed. I just don't get it. The food is mediocre at best. I've been several times, always hoping it will be better but I've never had anything particularly good. Definitely not interested in going back.

All hype...
I don't get all the good reviews of this place. The food is sub par for the price and the service is slow as molasses. I've been there on several occasions hoping it will live up to the hype, but it never happened. I've had the Tomato & Mozzarella Salad, you would think, how can you screw this up? But alas, I guess you can. The fresh basil & balsamic reduction on the salad was a bitter nightmare. The lamb shank was tasteless. Only the mussles were ok and I mean ok, not great.

I always enjoy this place
It is the most casual French restaurant I have ever been in. The food is nice, lamb shank and burgers are outstanding, and of course the french fries. Service is usually slow, so be prepared, but is is a nice place to hang out, eat and have a carafe of merlot.

nice place
A really pleasant neighborhood restaurant. The food is not gourmet but it's usually very good -- some great values. The service is friendly and usually quick enough, if you're not in a hurry. But why would you eat here if you were in a hurry? The room is great -- lighting, decorations, music all make for a very enjoyable space.

if i didnt...
keep myself anonymous i would have been the first person in menu-page history to not have. what did you want my name and social security number? the food sucks. what do you work there? did it hurt your feelings that the food sucked so much. why don't you devote more time to more meaningful things in your life than critiqueing my menupages review. i didnt like it. i wouldnt recommend it. but thanks for leaving your review with such a specific name bob k. it really took a lot of courage. you showed me. thanks for the lesson.
