    Will definitely not be returning

Looking for a place to eat breakfast and read the paper, I came across Chez Betty, which at first glance seemed to be the perfect place. It has free wifi and comfortable seating, but the food is mediocre at best and the service is abysmal. The woman working there was down right rude and her behavior ensured that I'll never be going back. Totally not worth it.

    Overpriced and Hostile Atmosophere

I live right around the corner from this place, and at first I was thrilled by the fact that there was a nice little cafe around the corner. Upon our first meeting, the lady behind the counter (the owner) was very nice and pleasant, and so i came back a few times the next week. She was always politely trying to get me to buy food, which I did once or twice, but the food was way too overpriced that I usually stuck with coffee. One evening when I sat down with my latte (and the place was empty, btw) to get some reading down, when the lady told me that this was a "restaurant" not a cafe, and that she was trying to run a business. I took the hint, and never went back again...but I gotta say that I'm a big coffee drinker and probably would have spent close to $5 a day at her cafe if she hadn't been so rude. She's trying to position a cafe as a restaurant...and the fact that she doesn't succeed at it is not the customer's fault.

    Great Quiche and Chai

My girlfriend and I stop here for Cold Chai and Quiche here all the time and it's wonderful. The woman who runs the place is a wonderful French woman and its a great place to stop by in the early afternoon to get the day started.
