Chen's (CLOSED)

I stopped in to grab to grab a bite at this place and first off, the lady at the counter couldn't stop texting long enough to get most of the orders right. I got back to my desk to get a plateful of the hardest blandest General Tso's Chicken ever! I live in Long Island and was hoping my first Chinese takeout experience would be better than at least SOME of the ones ON EVERY CORNER of where I reside. I guess I'll stick to the Deli's and better-known chains/restaurants for my midday fill up...smh

I ordered a beef with tomato lunch special. There were so many green peppers in there that after I picked them all out, half the dish was gone. The beef was unappetizing and the tomato had an unpleasant smell.

I agree with previous reviewers - food tastes good but service is poor. Delivery took over an hour and a half and they were out of dumplings!They wouldn't customize a dish for me to save my life (like substitute tofu for chicken)

Let me start by saying that the food here is great. To some people, that may be all that matters... however, for me, it's a real turn-off each time I go in here and the guy behind the counter gives me attitude. The attitude at this place makes me want to take my money back and go elsewhere, because they certainly don't deserve business with the type of attitude they have here.

I have been ordering Chen's take out for over four years and have been fully satisfied with their expedient service and delicious food. Thank you Mr. Chen. Thank you.

Pretty straight-ahead cheap chinese. Quick, cheap (4.50 lunches) and not much else.
