I am S. Indian and know a good dosa or idli when I have one. This is the best place in the city for S. Indian food. The idlis, dosas, bhondas, etc. are truly great as well as their coconut and tamaring chutneys. I even brought my mom here and she said the same. Really delicious and very affordable w/ huge portions. Definitely make room for the kulfi at the end for dessert- one of the best I've ever had!

This place really made me love Indian food. It is a great place for lunch (buffet), and great food for a good price.

Discovered this place in my neighborhood and was thrilled that they accommodate those with gluten-free needs. The food is wonderful, plentiful and cheap. The waiter helpfully suggested foods for us to eat and we ordered several different dishes. My only gripe was that it was cold in the restaurant which made it difficult to fully enjoy eating. Maybe it was because we were there early but it was still uncomfortable. Would definitely return though and am glad I found it.

I'm usually not a fan of Indian food but I heard good things and decided to give it a try. We allowed the owner to recommend and were not disappointed. Every dish was wonderful. The flavors were great. The prices so reasonable. The owner sat with each table. The story of how an Indian owner was awarded Kosher certification is interesting. Three days later we're still talking about the meal and will definitely return.

I have eaten everywhere, Tamarind, Vatan and other great Indian Places. Chennai Garden tastes just like mom used to make and pretty good prices. Good date spot too.

Loved this restaurant the first time I discovered it, in early September - food was generously portioned, beautifully flavoured, and good and spicy - the way I remembered South Indian food being from travelling to India. Returning tonight, however, the experience was disappointing - the portions remain huge, but everything was somehow bland and oily, rather than buttery. Maybe it's just an off night.

We have tried so many dosa places and this was one of the best and the staff was very observant. I never had to ask for water, they just refilled it. Wow. You must try their dosas.
