Good food!
I've been eating here for a couple years now and I've had my share of Thai food (i have the belly to prove it).,It's a great place. Staff is friendly, food is fast. They make traditional Thai dishes that you can't find at "run of the mill" Thai restaurants. They really have the best peanut sauce EVER! Everyone should give this place a shot.

Low value
It's good but cash only and new prices make it not worth it.

Poor service
My family and I have been ordering, eating there, and having food delivered for over 3 years. The food has been alright and since the location in convient for fast food. We always order from there for Thai. The service doesn't even deserve one star. The guy working there is so rude. I went and picked up my order and had something else delivered to the house. I paid and tipped. Half an hour later I get a phone call from telling me the delivery guy came back. "No one is home and come pick up your food" and hung up on me. I called back and he did exactly the same. I couldn't even get a word in and he hung up. I went back to the restaurant just to walk into him giving me a nasty look and threw the food at me. I told him who ever's mistake it is, he should never talk to anyone like that. Especially a customer that has been going there that long. He told me to get out. There are so many Thai places in the meatpacking district. With service like that I would not waste my money.

Delicious Thai
Delicious Thai food. Sauces are great and dishes are served over the rice so that the rice can soak it up. It is nice that you can watch them cook your food so you know everything is made to order.

Only get the salads
I do love thai food, and I understand that not all places can be like Sripraphai (in Queens), but the food at Chelsea Thai is so bland and generally tasteless that it actually made me consider giving up on eating it, even though I was hungry. I haven't had everything on the menu, only the beef salad, the red curry, the pad thai and the curry noodle, and the only item I enjoyed was the salad (which is actually absolutely delicious and a great value).

Greasy
I go to this place often, so often that I run through their "Buy 10 get a Meal Free" cards. When they changed cooks last year, I noticed that the quality of the food changed for the worse, with the cooks leaving out the garlic and spices on most occasions, but I hung in there figuring they'd get better with practice. They haven't got better. The food got greasy. They have this big window where you can see the cooks prepare the food and I watch them cook and I see all three cooks consitently ladle up a huge amount of oil into their woks. I can see the food drowning in the oil. It's unnecessary and leaves the food a slick mess that slides onto your plate and into your mouth. Just imagine the amount of fat and calories you're getting in addition to the food! Today was the last straw. Brought my container of Pad See Ew back to the office and the container had a small hole in the bottom. The bag was brimming with oil. I'm not going back there again for lunch until I hear that they have new cooks.

Overrated
I have heard people rave about this place as I sit at my laptop in the Chelsea market. The food is Ok; you can tell they use a lot of butter in the sauce so be forewarned. They don't give you that much for the price - too much rice. I had the pad thai here once ,and it obviously had the taste of a plastic container/storage.
