Stay away from the mashed potatoes
We ordered a company dinner from here two nights (second night was a mistake, meant to order from The Star on 18th... some co-workers had a pretty decent cobb salad, but i made the mistake of ordering something with mashed potatoes. when i say they are the worst mashed potatoes created by man, i'm not lying. Also, the delivery man tries to make you go downstairs and pick up your food instead of delivering it to you. i didn't order takeout, mother trucker, i paid you $7 in tip to delivery that to my door. also, be sure not to order the cream of broccoli, we nicknamed it Flour Soup.

Ruined my whole day
My husband and I walked from Charlton Street to the Chelsea Square in search of an early morning Sunday breakfast, based on other "menupages" reviews. We ordered the eggs benedict for almost $13 a piece. They were not good, and we only ate them because we were really hungry. My coffee cup had to be returned due to some glob that had adhered to its inside. The waiter was unfriendly and stressed out, even though the place was almost empty. Our experience at this place really ruined our day.

Quintessential Diner
This is a quintessential diner, but in an atmosphere reminiscent of the past. From the pictures on the paneled walls, you can tell it has been an institution on the corner for a while. The food has large portions, but don't expect 5 Star quality. It is diner food, but good diner food. It has some typical things on the menu for NYC including egg cream. I highly recommend the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy.

This place rocks!
My Mom and I stayed in Chelsea in February and ate at least one meal here every day. What a delight! The service was old fashioned good and the food was great! Really good value for our money. I can't wait to visit again!

One of the 2 best diners in New York
Excellent food, abundant portions, good service, bread basket can't be beat - and I've eaten at lots and lots of New York diners. One of the two best of all time. Fish is reliably fresh only one mediocre piece in 20+ tries.

review
What do people expect from diner food. As far as diner foods this place is pretty good. Delievery guys are always fast with food, Most of the people who take order are good especially this one guy who most of the time I dont even have to give my address because he knows it already. I do agree about the lady who takes order she sounds cold and like you are bothering her.
