We rushed into this place while looking for somewhere to eat as a rainstorm started. It proved an excellent stroke of luck. The food was top-notch (try the Everything Burger, or the rack of ribs). The beer's good and so are the fries. Our waitress was quick and friendly, and the bill didn't break the bank. I would have no hesitation in returning... we made the mistake of eating at the Hard Rock the night before. This Chelsea Grill puts it to shame.

Just ordered beer so can't comment on the cocktails, pleasant atmosphere, food so so. The chicken salad had a minimal amount of chicken and the veggie burger was just ok. The fries were the best thing!

I just moved into the neighborhood and have eaten here a few times. Service has been fast and friendly and the food is good! The teriyaki salmon was excellent, as was the honey dijon chicken sandwich. Portions are pretty big as well. Will definitely make this a regular spot.

Twelve of us had a going away party for our friends at the Grill last night. We literally had everything from appetizers to desserts. Being a group with diverse culinary tastes it takes a great restaurant to provide excellent food to suit everyone and this was right on target. The stuffed artichoke appetizers were amazing and the bar list is second to none. The sour mixes are made on the premises using all fresh ingredients and it certainly does make a difference, you'll never enjoy a "sour" mixed drink anywhere else. As we made our way from appetizers to main course to dessert we were never disappointed. Don't miss the homemade cheesecake, it's the only way to top off the great dinner. It's evident that the owner takes great pride in his restaurant, from the quality, variety and pricing of the food and drinks. We were there for over 4 1/2 hours drinking, eating and just having a great time. The service was outstanding and we never felt rushed. This is a place that we will visit many times in the future with a goal of trying every item on the menu.

Almost anytime I come into the city to see a show I have lunch here at the bar. And yesterday was no exception. The place was very crowded due to one large group eating in the back so the kitchen was backed up a bit. Still I was in no rush as I had time to kill and drank my favorite beer Hoegarden that they have on tap here. I have the penne pasta with chicken and then the Chocolate Bomb for dessert before I head out. Staff is always friendly and attentive. If I lived in the city I am sure I would hang out here more often.

i went to the chelsea grill recently with a girlfriend who had been there once before . I had a really poor experience. The food quality was so below par for the price--the waffle fries my friend had were great, but my salad was overdressed and thrown together. The tuna tartare seemed old and also off-the-cuff. It was very difficult to find something remotely healthy on the large menu. The cocktail list seemed cool, but almost too downtown for the rest of the place--mostly gin based drinks--think Death and Co or Milk and Honey--with a food menu that's as nondescript as the 'hood. The wine list was the more boring than the food menu and, again, clashed with the cocktail list starkly. Who wants to pay $11 for Coppola pinot that I can buy next door for $12? The waitress was disengaged and unaware. Too bad! Beautiful place--cozy and old-tavern-chic...would have been willing to pay more for better, more unified product!

Great food for a great value. I'll definitely be going back again and again.
