worst. chinese food. ever!
The service rating was above zero only because the woman who took my order on the phone was nice. But, the delivery guy was not. He called demanding we meet him somewhere other than our delivery address. We said no. He shows up finally, gives us our food and then on his way out blows his nose out all over our gallery steps. EW! Once we start eating (after a thorough hand washing) the food is luke warm and has no flavor other than perhaps a manufactured "chinese food flavoring" that cannot be identified. My lo mein noodles were over white rice. How can white rice be so bad?! After a few bites of each dish, we tossed the food and placed an order from our reliable old standby, Bottino. Seriously, stay far far away from Golden Wok.

Reliable & Fast
This is our " go to" take out when we want classic Chinese food. We've tried them all. Golden Wok never disappoints.

Delicious Chinese
My go to fast food Chinese spot. Wonton Soup is amazing. Lunch specials are always spot on. Delicious, hot & FAST! Highly recommended!

Best Quick Chinese in Chelsea
By far the best quick and easy chinese food in chelsea. I can't really complain about any item. For the more westernized, try the chicken nuggets - best I've ever had. Only complaint is that they do not take credit card and are not on delivery.com or seamlessweb.

It's a total dive, but I like this place
It's your basic Chinese take out joint. Very low prices. Low brow American style Chinese food that tastes fine. I can't speak to the quality of the ingredients (it's not organic if that's what you're looking for), but I haven't had any issues or weird meat. I have been ordering from this place for years and they are consistently good. Never had a problem with the delivery guys. I am glad they are in our neighborhood.

Overall experience
The service was not acceptable and messed up my oder and did not ask if i wanted anything more. There is only one waiter who brings your food and takes your order. I ordered General Tso's Tofu and was pretty good for an rural new york chinese/japanese restaurant. They took an hour and half to bring my dish and some of the people at my table did not get their starters at the end of the dinner. This is a good place to take out food but not to sit down and enjoy the food that being served to you.

Been coming for years - nicest people
I just noticed someone else commenting on how nice the people are here and decided to write only my first or 2nd menupages, but I agreed so much. They've been really nice to my little boy since I first came in and he still loves to stop in for fortune cookies now that he's a big kid. My only criticism of the food is the dumplings are just too doughy/sweet for me, but everything else I get here feels like a bargain with prices still from the 80s or 90s. When I'm sick I crave their hot/sour soup, the shrimp with broccoli for 6 bucks is a steal... The atmosphere is non-existent with bright lighting and two tables, but it's nice to be able to sit while waiting for carry out, and my boy and I even sit and hang out for awhile. I'm glad they're in the hood.
