While the food here is good, I can't get past the inflated prices! $13 for a tiny chicken souvalki sandwich is highway robbery. Most items on the menu need to have a couple dollars shaved off the price. Quality diner food at ridiculous prices! I can't afford lunch here anymore.

Standard NY Coffee Shop fare but executed perfectly with speedy and polite service and low prices.

This is one of the better city diners that I've been to. It's very clean and the food is good, solid diner fare. But it can be a little pricey for a diner! It's been in the neighborhood for over twenty five years or longer, so that is s testament itself. Staff are friendly and seem willing to please. It's decent choice for comfort diner food and diner style Greek dishes. I've never had a bad experience here! And, thankfully it's clean!!

Who comes to NYC and opts to eat at a diner? There are fantastic and inexpensive eateries all of the city. This place is a diner. Don't expect anything more than an okay burger or sandwich. It doesn't try or need be anything else.

I have no idea what everyone is balking about. CG is my favorite go-to for quick, easy sandwiches and fries. The best fries in the city, by delivery standards!

... in the AM is not a rarity. What's the problem with the baked potato in a diner nowadys? Is it so hard for them to fire up the oven when they open? You get a great baked potato here any time of the day and the rest of the menu is equally fine. Whether it's burgers or the great Greek salad and mousakka, tuna melt, waffles or pancakes you will applaud the above average quality and decent prices. Try the fried calamari appetizer with a baked potato. Order mashed if you prefer. Makes a great lunch.

...why anyone would rate this restaurant so well. I read the reviews and decided to go check it out because it seemed like a good meal for a good price. Quite the contrary. The food is below mediocre, very bland and minimal, although it is definitely cheap. The problem is you can tell why it's so cheap.
