Good Sized Portions, Better Than Average

The thing I like best about the Grill is their generous portions. Similar restaurants provide about half the food and leave an adult with a healhty appetite ready to order again after eating. There is some trade-off of quality for quantity, but the food is still above average. It's not exquisite, and it's not a culinary delight, but it is tasty and filling. I only order for delivery while I am working at the office, so I can't say anything about the dining experience at the restaurant. Their deliveries are speedier than the average Chelsea restaurant though. I highly recommend the grill for a hearty and satisfying $10 lunch at your desk.

If you like bean curd this is the place

Just recently was turned on to the cottage in viet grill. I ordered the Grilled bean curd with lemon grass very nice. Also wonton soup very dif than others I have tried but must say I like it better. Good food I would recommend.

    Would not recommend

I was very excited to try this place since there is a lack of Vietnamese options in the area that I work. I decided to go for items I've had before at other Vietnamese restaurants?beef cubes and vietnamese coffee (with condensed milk). Both were disappointing. Everywhere else I have eaten the beef cubes have been the most amazing tender beef. The ones here were really overcooked and tough. The coffee was subpar and over-sweetened. The salad that comes with lunch is something you can do without....it's just extra slices of carrots, tomatoes and cucumber to go with your main dish.......which already has those in it.

Very nice people, and free wine with dinner

These people are so cool, and nice. This restaurant is small, quaint, and cute. It's good to go to for lunch or dinner. Even if you're loning it one night, they'll make you feel very welcome. It's one of my favourite restaurants in the area. And it is immaculately clean. That's always nice in a restaurant.

    Chelsea's "only" vietnamese resto

LOVE this place. We've become concerned that we aren't eating anyplace else. The spring rolls: perfectly crispy. The summer rolls: cool and crunchy. And the delivery is practically instantaneous.

    Just OK

I had the pork chop over egg-fried rice for lunch at the Chelsea Cottage's Viet Grill today, and it was just okay. Nothing to write home about. I may have just ordered the wrong dish - should have tried a pho instead. The Vietnam style coffee was quite good.
