I went here on my way to see the Rockettes. I was skeptical because of the location but as soon as I entered my opinion changed. The atmosphere was serene, nice enough for a date or just dinner with a group of friends. I order the Sesame Chicken, it was delicious, the portions were more than enough. It was so good that I'm going back the next day with my coworkers. Thanks for a great meal Chef Yu.

The best chinese place in the West 30s. I was walking past Chef Yu and decided to stop in on a whim. I'm so glad that I did. It's an amazing place. I usually get take out so I won't comment on atmosphere. But the service is good, food is even better.

I was very skeptical on my way to the restaurant, where I was meeting girlfriends for the dinner - the area is a busy, dirty, chain-restaurant-ridden mess. When I got to Chef Yu and stepped intside - it was like a zen sanctuary - large, quiet, and decorately nicely. The food matched the atmosphere too - a mix of American Chinese food and Chinese Chinese food - good pries. I got the wonton soup, which was exellent - I could taste the fresh ginger. I also got tofu with broccoli, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful -more wonderful fresh ginger, and garlic. My only complaint is that I asked for "very little oil" and it looked like they didn't quite honor that request. I would definitely go back, though. And, the $3 happy hour cosmo was delish.

I ordered the General Tso's lunch speical and before I sat down after placing the order it was ready. It was very good and the lunch special came with a salad, spring rolls (which didn't taste too great) and rice. I received more than enough food and would definitely go back.

Solid traditional dishes. One of the best roast pork around NY. A must have. All around good food.

I went here after attending the National Comedy Theatre up the street and was very pleased. The atmosphere is lovely--nice enough for a romantic meal. The food I had was great. I ordered one of the chef's specials, prawns in a mayonnaise sauce with walnuts, and it was delicious. The prawns were huge, very lightly fried. The martinis were smallish but well-made. At $7 a pop (this was not happy hour), that's still a good value for New York City.

A wonderful restaurant, serving excellent food in a very romantic and ambient atmosphere for very reasonable prices. Our meal for 2, including 2 soups and 2 mains, was $24! The portions were very big and the service was very prompt and polite. You won’t be disappointed.
