my favorite!
I've lived in Murray Hill for over 3 years and hadn't been able to find a restaurant that compared to Ollie's on the UWS. Chef 28 is better and much cheaper. Both the Sushi and the Chinese is delicious. My boyfriend and I eat there at least 3 times a week. The Chicken fried rice is amazing and their homemade curry sauce is his favorite in the city. Legit a great, great place! :)

No meat in the meat dishes!
The food has decent flavor, but this place really cheats you on the amount of meatwhether it's chicken, beef, pork, etc.they put in their dishes. The chicken dish I just ate had just a few sparse strips of chicken in it the rest was filler vegetables - snow peas and water chestnuts. LOTS of water chestnuts. Disappointing.

Dinner Specials can't be beat
I typically eat Chinese once a week and usually it's from Chef 28. How can you beat their dinner specials?! Love the dumplings though some might call them doughy. I also enjoy their moo shu chicken, lemon chicken, and all the soups. Perk: I always ask how long delivery will take, and they always arrive earlier than the time they told me.

great and affordable chinese and sushi
My coworkers and I absolutely love this place. We alternate between picking-up the orders, and going in for a full service lunch. The food is delicious off both menus (and I'm usually very picky, having tasted the fancy Chinese and Japanese dishes at 5-star places during NYC Restaurant Weeks). Highly recommended: spicy shrimp wontons (and they do mean spicy), beef and broccoli lunch special, spicy salmon and salmon skin rolls. Great food, great service, and great value.

Finally! Chinese I like near Flatiron!
Most of the Chinese in this neighborhood sucks! This place totally doesn't suck. The garlic wontons are decent and the sesame chicken isn't as greasy or overfried as you sometimes find. They seem to use slightly better ingredients than you'd find other places. Not the best in the city, but definitely the best in the neighborhood for delivery. Friendly ,fast, and tasty!

Hmmmm not so much
While the dumplings were very good, my general tso was VERY bready and it had more largely chopped veggies than chicken in it. The brown rice was the WORST i've ever tasted. I had to add sauce from the chicken to make it eatable and even then I only had two bites. Overall if I order from here again it would only be for the dumplings...but then again maybe not.

Decent price and *very* good food
I'm very picky and can tolerate cheap chinese a little less than the next person. I find that this place is a cut above the rest in terms of service (always nice when I call) they have a system that remembers where you live by phone number, food is consistently good and not too greasy. I've been once to the restaurant and thought the atmosphere was great. If you're looking for good decent price food that's a cut above the rest in terms of cheap chinese then this is your place. I usu order for delivery & haven't tried the Japanese yet.
