Good takeout
Takeout from here is good. We probably order at least once a week. Sometimes dishes are a little too saucy, but good otherwise. Noodle soups are a favorite.

Not recommended
Food was unappetizing- salty and everything tasted the same and the delivery came 70 minutes after I ordered and I live 6 blocks away. Every time I called asking about the order gal told me it is on the way- I will never do another order with them again

Poorest chinese food i have ever eaten
This was one of the poorest meals i have had in a long time in this city. I ordered takeout - diced chicken and shrimp but i might as well have ordered stir fried peppers. The dish was filled with red and green peppers, with a few really rubbery bits of shrimp and chicken. The shrimp and chicken smelt really bad and were definitely not fresh. The chicken must have been the leftover bits as it was stringy and had bits of cartilage in it. Waste of money.

Great food, amazing service
I've been frequenting this Chinese restaurant for over a decade...the food is always fresh, fast and delicious. Not full of MSG like so many other 'cheap Chinese' options. The owner takes a lot of pride in giving you a great experience and it shows! He says 'hi' to me when I pass him in the street and is one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. I've taken all sorts of people here, for fun and for business lunches and never had an issue. Great place to duck in from the rain b/c they always keep it nice and cozy warm in there. Try it

I wouldn't have written this review if the delivery didn't take close to an hour--to be fair I'm 10 blocks away and it is raining. The fried Pork dumplings were suspect, and the brown sauce for the chicken and broccoli seemed to be mostly water. The broccoli was undercooked, and how do you get white rice wrong? I wouldn't have ordered from here if my usual place wasn't closed on Sundays, but I chose Chef 28 due to the 4 star review here on Menupages. If you want flavor, and are hungry, keep it moving.

Not recommended
I just ordered for the first time and my chicken was fatty and grissly. The wonton soup was just as disappointing with heavy bland wontons. Needless to say won't be ordering again...

Great Delivery
Best Chinese Food in Murray Hill. Quick delivery - food was piping hot. Very tasty food. The lunch special is well worth it.
