A wonderful place all around, based on my one experience ordering here. I haven't tried the tortas and reached the level of love for the food yet that some other reviewers expressed...but I will say that the vegetarian flautas were delicious, rice and beans were nice (not greasy), and the avocado taco was amazing except for the tortilla. And it is all extremely reasonably pricedmy 4.5 star food rating is based on the quality plus the value. The service was also excellent. The person who took my order over the phone was professional, nice, made sure everything was correct. And the delivery guy was also nice and got there when we expected. I ordered pretty late at night and it's fairly hard to find places delivery places for my area of Crown Heights, so I didn't care one ounce that it took 40-45 minutes.

Oh.my.god. Their tortas make me want to die and enter the gates of Heaven with avocado-encrusted lips. Seriously though, wow! Their tortas blow all the other guys' tortas out of the water! Mmm. Love it.

I live right across the street and have been there for years. Oh yeah, I remember when the restaurant opened. I have passed by it often. Today I decided to try it and it was great! I had Chile Rellenos. I intend on becoming a regular!

Having just moved to Crown Heights and being a picky eater, I decided to try this place based on the review. It was really good!!!!! I will definitely become a regular customer.

I live in the neighborhood and eat at this place all the time. Chavellas is amazing and I am happy to see that they have finally entered the world of menupages. The food is great, the people that work there are normal, they don't treat you like you are a child or an idiot. They deliver when they say they will. I've never had a single problem.

Yes the tortas are good, the tlacollos are good, and most of the menu is pretty good. It is also unbelievably cheap. If you live in the neighborhood you know this is an important symbol of the Gentrification of Crown Heights (not Prospect Heights, but who really knows where the line is anymore). Yes it is a solid Mexican Restaurant but I'll hop the bus to Fort Greene or Williamsburg to Bonita for better tacos.

I've been hoping for a good Mexican place that would deliver to my area, and was really happy to find this place. The food was excellent & surprisingly inexpensive. Delivery took a while, but they were busy and warned us beforehand that it would take at least an hour. I really appreciate their honesty, and it arrived (as they stated) on the hour. I've tried many Mexican places in the area and have yet to find one that's even halfway decent without having to travel to Park Slope.
