Great Mexican Food
Having just moved to Crown Heights and being a picky eater, I decided to try this place based on the review. It was really good!!!!! I will definitely become a regular customer.

This place rocks
I live in the neighborhood and eat at this place all the time. Chavellas is amazing and I am happy to see that they have finally entered the world of menupages. The food is great, the people that work there are normal, they don't treat you like you are a child or an idiot. They deliver when they say they will. I've never had a single problem.

Excellent Value, Best in NYC, come on...
Yes the tortas are good, the tlacollos are good, and most of the menu is pretty good. It is also unbelievably cheap. If you live in the neighborhood you know this is an important symbol of the Gentrification of Crown Heights (not Prospect Heights, but who really knows where the line is anymore). Yes it is a solid Mexican Restaurant but I'll hop the bus to Fort Greene or Williamsburg to Bonita for better tacos.

So happy to find this place
I've been hoping for a good Mexican place that would deliver to my area, and was really happy to find this place. The food was excellent & surprisingly inexpensive. Delivery took a while, but they were busy and warned us beforehand that it would take at least an hour. I really appreciate their honesty, and it arrived (as they stated) on the hour. I've tried many Mexican places in the area and have yet to find one that's even halfway decent without having to travel to Park Slope.

great food
good stuff in the restaurant and for delivery. Delivery is pretty fast. Keep in mind that this isn't mainstream mexican, it has an oaxcan vibe to it with the cheese, but it's really good, and the prices are very reasonable. Quesadillas and the appetizers are definitely the best of the lot. CASH ONLY for those that wonder.

Best Mexican Food in NYC!!!!!!
Look no further! You just found the best Mexican food joint in NYC! The food is always fresh and made to order. It is creative and beautifully prepared while continuing to uphold the traditions of true mexican cuisine. The staff does an amazing job and are always warm and welcoming. The prices are great and the portions are plentiful, not to mention absolutely delicious! I have tried numerous items on their menu, and have not been dissaponted once! I highly recommend Chavella's! Three thumbs up!

Fantastic very fresh food - and cheap!
My husband and I love Chavella's! We've dined inhouse numerous times and have ordered out as well, and the food has been extremely fresh and flavorful every time we've eaten it. Great little place with fantastic food. And great value, too - you can get a ton of food for pretty cheap. I hope this restaurant never goes out of business since it would be a huge loss to the neighborhood. Can't recommend it enough.
