I bought the Aurelia's Mole which was ok, the Milanesa which was good, and the chicken and tomatillo Tamales which was nice. My first take on the place is that it's good, taking into consideration that I'm new to mexican food. The space is kind of tight but it doesn't seem to be affecting the good food being served. Last but not least, the waiters/servers can be a little more inviting. I will be back to try something new.

By far, Chavella's is the best Mexican food I have tasted in the city. I challenge any one to point me in the direction of better Mexican restaurant, and if one existed, I am certain it couldn't top the same value Chavella's has to offer. So good!

Mind your p's and q's- it's tight in there! One of my favorite Mexican spots.

We eat here at least once a week. Service is hit or miss, depending upon who is working. The food is always excellent, however. I hate to let others know how good it is, though - the wait can already be somewhat long!

I used to loooove Chavella's. And lately they are really pissing me off. Food is delicious, but not worth the attitudes of the servers and the over-crowded restaurant. And now, all of a sudden, they don't deliver down the block, "We have too many customers." Whaaaa? There's way too many new Mexican joints popping up all over the place to deal with this behavior. Although I was a loyal Chavella's customer since it opened a few years back, and introduced it to all my friends, my love for this place is over. Good bye Chavella's. You've become just another snobbish place in this neighborhood....

Such delicious tacos, such fast delivery, so little money. Kind of like a dream come true.

My husband and have lived in this area for a year. We found Chavella's soon after we moved in and go there at least once a week. The food practically melts in your mouth, the atmosphere is quaint, and the servers know us by face. The restaurant is often crowded, but I think the small size and close quarters is part of the experience. I bring visitors here every chance I get, and they all love it and want to come back. Can't get enough, can't say enough...it's awesome!
