this is a fun place to grab brunch on a weekend to talk about the night before, but whatever you do, do not get delivery from here... here has been my delivery experience so far tonite: 1) call and order mac n cheese and a drink at 5:42pm 2) call back at 6:51pm asking where it might be, told it's en route 3) call back at 7:49pm and repeat question... 4) it's now 8:25pm... still no mac n cheese... i'll be shocked if it ever arrives.

This place has a good menu, seems cozy and like a good value. The food tasted good, but I was a little afraid to eat some of it. I had the turkey dinner and they must have made my plate way before the other orders at my table were finished because the edges of the turkey were crispy, as if left under a hot lamp and there was a skin that formed on the gravy (like pudding). Having said that it seemed old and under a hot lamp, oddly enough, the vegetables were undercooked and cold. I should have told the waitress, but I was starving and we were under a time constraint, so I ate the parts that looked safe.

Great place. Just ate there today. Loved the atmosphere, it was very laid back but the service was excellent. All the dishes tasted great and reminded me of home cooked comfort food. I recommend the mac and cheese and pies!

I came with two girl friends. Started with sweet potatoe fries and potatoe skins and nachos as appetizers. We then shared the Mac and Cheese. The portion size is great, we were getting quite full. The Mac and Cheese is good. I finished the meal with their Malibu coconut nut-YUM. I want to go back for their fried chicken, it looked amazing when the waitress brought it to the people next to us. Overall, good price and delicious!! It gets quite crowded and noisy though.

Some friends and I found the chat n' chew during a visit to the city. We were hoping to find an inexpensive hole in the wall that had GREAT food. That is just what we found. They make better southern food than any place I have found down south (I live in Mississippi). Everytime I visit the city I try to go and everytime I show someone around the city I take them to try it out. So far everyone has loved it. I am about to go for another trip to the city with family and will be taking them to give it a try.

The decor was cute if kitchy. However, I went with somewhat of a big group (about 8), and they took forever to take our orders, at times asking only one person at time for their drink order. They then brought me the wrong drink. The food was ok. But at the end of the meal, they whisked away our plates as soon as we put our forks down, and asked us to leave! Some of us weren't even done with our drinks! We felt it was a place to chew and get the hell out, rather than a place to enjoy the atmosphere and have a nice conversation.
