will deliver in 3 hours or less!
food is ok...if you order delivery, you probably won't be able to attest to this because chances are you will get so tired of waiting for it (and calling them asking where the hell it is) that you will just go out and get something else. i'm not sure i've ever had an experience as bad as this in terms of delivering food...from the looks of some of the other postings, it seems to be rather common. I was quoted 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches and a side of fries...after an hour I called them...they said the guy was on his way...after another hour (2 total) I called again and they said he was still on his way...I told them not to bother. I asked to speak to a manager but, surprise, was told none was on duty. Customer service at it's zenith. I told the guy what he could chew on. Don't make the same mistake as I and so many others...get food from someplace else.

are you sure?
Everytime I've gone to Chat & Chew it has been for brunch. I love brunch and have tried many venues. Chat & Chew is one of my absolute favorites! the Triple blueberry pancakes are fabulous. But aside from their great food, the service is almost ridiculously good. In fact my friends and I (who were all as pleased as I was with this place and consistently try to go as much as we can) were joking that the waitress was a hippy she was just so happy and sweet! Anyway, I'm not so sure about these reviews, perhaps these are a bit outdated or something. Go to Chat and Chew and enjoy!

Not recommended
We ordered delivery for the first time from Chat n Chew and we will not be doing so again. When the order arrived, we discovered that they had gotten pretty much everything wrong. It was simply not the correct order. This does happen from time to time when we order for delivery, even from the most reliable places, and when it does, we call the restaurant and they resend the correct order. When we called Chat n Chew, they said they were too busy and could not resend the order. This was pretty annoying. We ate the food they sent us, and honestly, it was not good and totally overpriced for basically diner food.

I've Had better Food in the Army
Had the soup of the day. It was potato leek with bacon and chives. It was served in a tiny flat bowl, there wasn't any bacon or chives. It was mashed potatos with water. It was honestly a mash paste. Everyone suggested to bring it back but I just ate it because I didn't want to wait another 40 minutes. The atmosphere is congesting. The sweet potato fries were really good, other than that the place nothing special.

I thought it was pretty good...
I don't know what everyone is talking about with the poor service- we had great service when we went for brunch, very prompt and polite. And we all really liked the food too. One friend and I split the huevos rancheros and the mac and cheese, and they were both delicious, crunchy and crispy on top and cheesy and tender on the inside. Yummy. Our other friend got a big bagel platter, and I mean an extreme bagel platter- it had EVERYTHING you could ever possibly want on a bagel. (And when he asked for extra capers, he got them- right away.) The portions were indeed gigantic, but I still was able to eat a slice of red velvet cake. It's definitely a good brunch alternative for our money.

Absent service
The food has always been so-so, but I came in for a simple grilled cheese sandwich. There were multiple open tables and I asked for a well lit one so that I could read. The hostess refused to give me a brighter table, she was convinced that a 5 large groups would come in during the next few minutes. I ordered on sandwich on whole grain bread, it came out 25 minutes later on white bread. I sent it back. Fifteen minutes later I had to hunt down the waitress who said the sandwich was just waiting for fries. They just plain ole' wore me out. No manager on duty. I left never to return again.

A Magical Night
We were served in only 45 minutes. The food came cold but on hot plates. This was especially nice for the kids. My daughters hamburger was bloody on the inside, and burnt on the outside, boy was she thrilled. The waiter took the news with a nasty sarcasm that lasted all evening. After the meal, the kids were informed they would get ice cream with their meal, after another 20 minutes, as we gave up and hurried from the restaurant the waiter chuckled "good thing because we still don't have clean dishes".
