I Hate To Follow The Crowd...
But they really do have, literally, the best burgers I've ever tasted, I went in with my doubts after reading the reviews online but definitely exceeded expectations. Their fries were a lilll bit overly greasy but still very good. The cheeseburger though was amazing.

In a pinch
Charly's has always been good to me. I've lived in this area 2 yrs and only got turned on to it about 4 months. They're really good for late night cravings, and their delivery is always so prompt.

Best burger in NYC?
No way. I only eat the food at this place when I'm drunk or too lazy to go outside. There just aren't many other options in the area. It's well known as a place you should only eat when you're drunk.

It's FINE...
Maybe you have to be totally hammered to properly appreciate Charlys. Alright, it's fine. It's (really greasy) burgers and perfectly good fries. I'll pass on the Pizza but I'm a native and a snob, sue me. But come on PEOPLE... This is NOT the second coming of baby Lord Jebus, nor is it 'the best burger in NYC' by any means at all, really. In fact, anyone who says so should be marched at musket point to the city limits and told never to come back (you know who you are)! I mean, the food is perfectly acceptable, even good... that's IT. It's great that they deliver at all hours and that's it's really really really really really reeaaalllly fast. The food is just nothing to get excited about and, dare I say it, is almost too greasy. I suppose if you're 15 and stoned it's simply fab-u-lous. However, there are much better and comparably priced places elsewhere.

Very impressive
Decided to order for delivery from here after reading the reviews. Outstanding. Ordered and had our food delivered in 20 minutes. Killer burgers (in a good way, lol) and tasty fries.

Best burger in NYC. Bar none.
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius. Every thing is amazing here. The only problem I have is that they will not deliver up to Spring Street, granted it's slightly far. Rookies and vets alike: cheese fries are a must. Remember, if you want lettuce, you have to ask. Good looks.
