I just got off the phone with Charlie Mom, after deciding I was craving some late-night Chinese. I haven't even received my food yet but I already love this place. The man on the phone was SO nice, and even wished me a Happy Easter and a nice weekend!

If you are hungry now, this is the place to order from. Many a time, after a late night at the office and I am really hungry, I have ordered from Charlie Mom becuase no sooner than I hang up the phone and break out the cash, does the doorbell ring. Of course, it's hot and delicious every time. I recommend the diet special for those on a diet and who are, like me, a bit picky about their veggies. If you are setting the diet aside for the night, I would definitly order the pan fried noodles with beef. The sauce is delicious and the texture is great. Also, don't miss out on their steamed shrimp dumplings. The dipping sauce is delicious. Always dependable, this is my go-to place when I am hungry and just can't wait.

I feel like no home is complete without a little flavor from Charlie Mom's kitchen! Feel free to ding the gong, because you have no need to look any further....by far the best Chinease on the UES! Charlie what does your mom put in that Sesame Chicken? Unreal.

Ok. It's scary how fast they deliver. I don't know did they happen to find the secret of time travel to get to my place that quick? Or did they just happen to acquire superman-like abilities to deliver my food? I don't know the answer to that but I will say they are pretty fast. I love the little "chinese crackers" that they give. I LOOVVEE chocolate fortune cookies. I only found them in San Francisco in the official fortune cookie factory. I like the lunch special though I'm not very fond of the egg roll.

The dumplings aren't normal dumplings, they are dense and look like little baskets. The wonton soup is made with fried wontons which aren't good when they are wet. But the sesame chix and the egg foo young are good and the food is generally passable for a fast meal.
