the food was not good. Like some of the other reviews said, the workers are the friendliest i've ever talked to. Unfortunately, this might be the worst chinese food I've tasted on the UES. It was only the 2nd time in my life I ordered something, took 2 bites, and couldn't eat anymore.

Solid, great food everytime! When we order Chinese food it'll definitely be from here...we don't need to try another. Great taste, not oily and fresh ingredients. For years we've been eating their food, but have never really been to the restaurant. We love Charlie Mom!!!

I wish the food for this restaurant was as good as its service. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately the food is another experience. Each time I get take out, it is hit or miss. The latest order of Gen. Zhou's chicken was atrocious. The meat was dry and so chewy, I had to throw most of it out. It is time for new cooks. The service alone can not save this restaurant.

Love this place. I'm chinese myself and although i'm the first to differentiate between "real" and "american" chinese food, I always order from this place. Not very authentic, but for takeout the flavors are still fantastic.

Charlie Mom has a fantastic diet menu with tons of options. A great way to be able to eat out and stay healthy. The veggie and shrimp dumplings are also delicious.

I ate at the restaurant once a few months ago and the food was really good. So I decided to get delivery. Wow, was the food horrible. I had Sesame Tofu. Last time it was solid, crunchy and delicious. This time it was soggy, limp, and just horrible. I also had veggie dumplings which were bitter. I strongly recommend against eating here.

We used to patronize them often. Unfortunately, it seems they changed chefs. The food now is extremely oily, and soaked in sauce. Even the rice is no longer good. Maybe when the old chef comes back, so will we.
