Great for luncheon meetings
I've used Charleston's for delivering lunches for business meetings at least 50 times in the past year. Their service is great; the food is very good. Prices are very reasonable for NYC and they are willing to work with you on changes. Its great to know that lunch will be professionally delivered, on time, EVERY TIME! The manager and staff are a delight to work with and I highly recommend this Bistro for catered affairs. Favorites include: the Fresh Mozzarella, tomotoe, basil sandwich as well as the Fresh Turkey and Cranbery sauce sandwich, plus the Pesto and fruit salads.

Decent, not amazing, but totally fine
I've been going here for years. I stick with salads and sandwiches and occasionally have soup. The salads have been consistently good and the sandwiches, as long as you have them make one for you on the spot, have been fresh and tasty. The soup selection never changes, which is annoying, but the quality is ok. Sometimes a bit oily or floury. Prices are pretty reasonable for NY takeout lunch. My only real complaint is that the make-your-own salad area needs to be a little cleaner. When the guys make the salads, they tend to drop ingredients into other containers. I usually wind up with at least one thing that I didn't ask for (such as a stray kidney bean or olive). This would be a problem for someone with an allergy or who is avoiding certain foods, like meat. Otherwise, Charleston's works just fine for me. You can do a lot worse in this area. Believe me, I have.

Don't Go
Watch out or you might be surprised at the register. Prices are not clear. Do not order pasta. They just basically reheat old stuff that's lying around in the microwave.

Excellent
It's been over three years and I have FINALLY found an excellent sandwich place in NYC. I would pay them to open up more locations.

Eh...
This place has a wide selection of foods, but none of it is really good, except for the soups. I have had many of the panini, and they all have an odd taste to them. The service is acceptable, and the upstairs seating area is nice. I eventually just started bringing my lunch from somewhere else or home and just buying a drink there and eating upstairs. Oh yeah, everything is overpriced.

Very reasonable prices, lots of choices.
The food is great, and the atmosphere is very nice for such a casual place. The salads are great, and with all they have there, you can pretty much have them make a sandwich, salad, etc. exactly to your liking.

Great Delivery!
I order from here all the time and the delivery is fantastic. They're fast and friendly and the create-your-own salad option is wonderful. Definitely reccomended!
