The Fastest Take-Out in Cobble Hill
And the food is still good take-out food. Mostly everyone said the same thing, good take-out spot, run by super nice people.

Best in the Hood
Ive lived in Cobble Hill for 5 years and had long since given up on ordering chinese food because every place I tried had issues. I gave Chan's a try last week, and let me tell you: it is a gift. A tray of general tso's chicken and pork fried rice is just $7, and the minimum delivery is only $6. It came to my door in a record time of 15 minutes, in the dead of winter. And the chicken was good, crispy, well sauced, and the food was very hot. I also got a cup of won ton soup for $1.50 (?!) and it was absolutely delicious as lunch the next day-- the dumplings have a good amount of pork. Highly recommend as your go-to Chinese take out/delivery place.

Great cheap Chinese
No one is saying this place is anything but what it is: It's cheap, fast, NY Chinese food and it is great at being that. Usually get delivery because they have a fairly wide delivery area and come quickly. Food is always solid and for the price it's terrific.

Awesome Chinese Takeout!
The person who said this place is mediocre at best doesn't know what they are talking about. I will admit Chan's is not fancy, but it is one of the best Chinese takeout places ever. Their dumplings are the bomb and the Schezuan wontons are also bangin! If you appreciate Chinese takeout you will love this place, but if you are too fancy to appreciate this particular style of cuisine stay away. Also I should mention that they are pretty quick on the delivery and very nice people.

Mediocre at best
The reviews below would have you think this is a great restaurant. This is a greasy spoon take out joint. The food is just barely passable--edible and that's about all you can say. This doesn't hold a candle to Lichee Nut or Andy's and mind you, I don't think Lichee Nut or Andy's is great Chinese at all, but this area of Brooklyn, doesn't have much to go by for Chinese food. I've ordered at Chan's a few times, just for convenience. Got the General Tsao's chicken the other day. Poor rice. The sauce was day-glo orange, obviously from a can or mix. It was crispy at least, but it was way too much breading and not enough chicken and I could distinctly taste shrimp, meaning they fried it in the same oil that wasn't well cleaned. Nothing wrong with this place; it is what it is; but the reviews below are deceptive having you think this is fine dining, and it is far, far from that.

best chinois in hood, hands down.
i tried them all in the hood. this one wins. really nice, bright flavors, fresh veggie; meat and tofu dishes taste good, too. worth going to the atm in the rain to get cash for. decent prices to boot.

By far... And I mean far....the best Chinese food in the area
After to many inconsistant orders at other Chinese resturants....this place is always good...and hot!
