What's the big deal?
What's the big deal about the fried ice cream? I've had people rave to me about it and I really was underwhelmed. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere really nice. I'd say this place is average to above average, but I don't get it about the fried ice cream.

Don't get the lunch special
The lunch special seems like a good deal but you get an extremely small amount of the actual dish you ordered. It's about 80 % rice. Don't get the lunch special if you're really hungry.

The Best Fried Ice Cream in NYC!!!
I love fried ice cream, and hunt it down all over the City. This place is the best I've found so far. Most places have the usual tempura ice cream, which is nice, but the fried ice cream here is different. I don't know how to explain it...the batter is thinner and different, the sauce is really good,... it's just amazing. I also loved everything else I had (the curry puffs, the papaya salad, and the green curry). Put this together with the incredibly friendly service, and that explains why this is my new favorite place. I'll definitely be coming back.

Lilliputian Portions
Prices may seem reasonable but when I ordered for pickup from this restaurant I was dissappointed at the portions. My Chicken Pad Kra Pow was mostly rice and little chicken. Taste was ok though.

The service alone is worth it!
I have eaten at this restaurant several times, and each time the service is beyond exceptional. They have struck the balance perfectly between bringing out dishes exactly on time and not rushing you through your meal. Also, once I went as a party of 6 when they were very crowded, and the server still went above and beyond -- our water glasses were never empty, and he actually anticipated my need for extra peanut sauce. The food is good, but doesn't blow me out of the water; prices aren't bad at all; atmosphere is nice; but never have I experienced such service--I am in love!

Great for Take Out
I work near the restaurant and it has a great take out lunch menu. Can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Good sized portions for relatively inexpensive too.

Pretty good - would go back
The food was fresh and tasty, though the lunch portions were insanely small. The service was friendly, if rushed and hard to understand. I definitely liked the atmosphere - casual but clean and just the right touch of pretty.
