    Tourist Trap w/a Complex

I've been working and eating in the Rockefeller Center area for the past 7 years, and living in NYC my entire life. I had a pretty bad experience here about a week ago. My boyfriend and I stopped by for some drinks before a concert at Radio City. We ordered the French Dipped sandwich which was overpriced to start with. We ordered it to share since we weren't that hungry. The sandwich was barely edible. There were a total of 20 french fries on each of our plates. The coleslaw tasted like it had turned that morning. Now, this place looks like a dive bar so I did not have very high expectations, but when they bill came I realized that they thought they were some 5 star restaurant. They charged us a $7 sharing fee on top of their over-priced beer and gross sandwich, making it a $22 sandwich. When I complained I was offered nothing more than a snotty attitude, lame excuse about the rent, and that they gave us extra fries and ketchup. She also said that all the restaurants in the area do that. Gee, thanks for telling me this, I've been eating in the area for a long time. Also, did you realize you're on the dirtiest block in a 7 block radius, right next to the OTB? In the end she refunded me $2 because I seemed "pretty upset" and I was "lovely." Such an insult. I've eaten at dirtier looking places but they had better food and more courteous staff. This place thinks too highly of itself and does not have the quality or service to back themselves up. Waste of time and money. There are a ton of cheaper, better bars in the area. Don't make the mistake of walking into this one.

    Wonderful!

11 of us, delicious food and great service, def NY prices but if you are going to treat yourself to a burger and fries this would be the place to save your weight watcher points for!

    Delicious food....Not bad service

Went here a few days ago just before the lunch rush with 3 other co-workers and were promptly seated upstairs by the window. It took a while to bring our drinks and come back to take our order, although maybe they were just giving us additional time since we weren't ready before. 3 ordered Shepard's Pie and 1 ordered the Lamb Stew. With all this stew-y stuff, we weren't brought bread (although the table next to us who later ordered sandwiches had bread!). Other than this, the food was DELICIOUS!
