The best cafe I know of in this area. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are quite reasonable. An amazing place to stop at whenever you want good food.

I get coffee here pretty much every day. It's great and inexpensive and always fast. I also come here for lunch a few times a week. Personally i love the bagels, sandwiches, and soups but also the brownies and cookies when i can afford to splurge. The service is good, and the people are always friendly even though it can get pretty hectic sometimes. Love this place!

I am a high school student and, seeinga s how I don't have much money, I appreciate the $1 coffee. It really gets me through the day, and I know so many other people that appreciate it as well. The people there are really friendly too.

Champignon on Madison is an amazing coffee shop! Not only they have great coffee but also baked goods, salads and paninis. Everything is delicious. The atmosphere is great and more importantly the staff is very friendly, super efficient and attentive. It's an incredible place!!!

My wife and daughter and I went here before we toured the Museum of the City of New York and the Conservatory Garden. (two great places, by the way). The sandwiches and pastries were delicious, the coffee rich and flavorful and the staff was friendly and helpful. We almost went back a second time after our touring!

I have breakfast and lunch here almost every day. Their coffee is better than starbucks (esp the hazelnut with creme and sugar). The food is always fresh and the [select]ion is varied. The most notable thing about this little cafe is the atmosphere. The people who work here are absolutely wonderful and the place has a real cozy feel.

Champignon on Madison is the perfect place to grab coffee, baked goods, a cup of soup or elegant sandwich. The place is small but does have space to sit. The baked goods are all excellent and they offer a great range of sugar free and fat free baked goods, which I found to a be a welcome surprise. Their panini offer a great variety of choices and are well made. The place always has quite a few options for soup, including an amazing tortilla soup. And, of course, coffee...great casual or takeout option in the neighborhood...
