This place is awesome -- I've only had delivery, but they're prompt, friendly, and make sure they got everything right. The food is delicious, waaaaay under-priced (shh, don't tell!), and they have a wide variety. Highly recommended!

i just discovered this little cozy cafe and i'm practically inlove with it. They have a reasonable variety of sandwiches and soups. And if you're craving something sweet it's the best place to be. There's a gigantic dessert display. The employees smile when serving you. However it DOES tend to get busy during lunch. But like they say, busy-ness is a hint that it's a yummy place to visit.

I have been going to this coffee shop for almost a year. They are friendly, fast and the food is excellent. I've tried every soup, all great! The tea sandwichs are my favorite and the coffee is ALWAYS great. I have friends and family that visit often and they always want to return to Champignon. The place is a small place, gets tight at its busiest times, but it's well worth it. As per the cost, best deal I have found for everything you get. I recommend ANYONE to cross the street and pass up the substandard chain coffee shops....these guys actually care that you are in their shop. Your coffee is served with a smile, not burnt and it's cheaper. No brainer to me. Enjoy!!

good soups, good sandwiches, excellent coffee and deserts. however, about one third of the time they'll either screw up your order or forget about you, especially if it's crowded. it's also terribly expensive

Besides the slow service during lunch hours, Champignon has a good selection of gourmet foods and they're always really fast with making their great 1$ iced coffee

The coffee is pretty cheap and it tastes good. The service is really slow... anytime I get a hot sandwich they forget about it and I end up waiting for 10 minutes. That's about the only thing that frustrates me though. The people just tend to be forgetful, but they're pretty nice. The food tastes pretty good though. The bottled drinks are fairly expensive, but I guess that's the Upper East Side for you.

Champignon is a great cafe. I go there every day for lunch - their food is great and the service is good. I especially love the fact that you can get iced coffee for only $1! It sure beats Starbucks.
