Its a cute tiny restaurant and my husband and I had a great time. Food was delicious and you could tell that it was also freshly prepared. Very friendly service and best of all, its BYOB. They've recently started brunch that already made to Zagat so we'll definitely be going back to try it!

Very disappointing, in many ways. First off, the waitress didn't appear to know the menu; when my wife ordered a dish from the menu the waitress didn't even know what the dish was and asked us to show it to her on the menu. Then, it took about 15 minutes for the apps to come out. One of them, the dumplings, was ok, but the tuna tartar was very subpar -- dry and not at all tasty. Then, we waited for the entrees. And waited. And waited. The waitress must have told us three times that our food would be out shortly; she was incorrect each time. Finally, an hour after ordering, our entrees came. My wife's dish was supposed to be beef ribs with a coconut and spinach sauce. The beef ribs came, but with an out-of-the-can mushroom source instead. My dish was ginger chicken, which was brought out without rice. Our waitress had not informed me when I ordered that rice was not included , so I had to then order that separately. After the rice came out, I dug in ... to a plate of cold food. And bland chicken. We politely informed the manager we would be leaving and going somewhere else. She did ask if there was anything else she could do, but we declined.

I along with my son, daughterin-law and my grandson visited Chal Chilli yesterday on 10/28/13 which happens to be my son's birthday. We are vegetarian so we had very limited choices but the lady owner Alia helped us in selecting the Menu. The Spring Rolls, Tofu, Thai Noodles and various sauces specially Peanut Sauce were excellent. We congratulate the Owner for working so hard and wish one day Chal Chilli will be one of the best restaurant for Thai Food in New York.

My husband and I had lunch at this place twice and their food is interesting from all the other Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Try their spring rolls - they are yummy!! We plan to go back to have dinner. The lady (the owner) is super nice and cares about her customer s indeed.

Amazing food! perfect fusion. Spicy and not spicy. Full of flavors. Thoroughly impressed with their presentation as well.

The place does not have a defined taste of food. It's mix of Indian and Thai, but the mixtures goes wrong and it can not encompass either taste.

I found this tiny gem through their delicious tofu. Their server was standing outside giving samples and that led me in. Great Deal for all you can eat in Lunch Buffet. The best thing is that they don't leave their food out for too long so they brought few dishes to my table freshly out of the kitchen. And of course, the entire deal included soup, salad, dumplings, bread, chicken and fish. Amazing!!
