    We enjoy ourselves there.

We've been there on several occasions and the service has been outstanding. Always an excellent sake recommendation and the fish has been fresh and tasty. The rice is wonderfully done. My first time, I requested the sushi Omakase style.. and it was amazing.

    Overpriced, lousy food

Had a friend in town, met up for lunch and was eager to try this place ... SO disappointing. I've had better sushi for $7 or $8 in typical neighborhood places! We dropped $40 apiece here and it was completely not worth it. It's sub mediocre fair for people who just don't know any better I guess.. Typical - mark everything at ridiculously high prices and dupe people into thinking it's quality!

    Poor Service and Noisey

Noise from the steet is sometimes unbearable and the loud music played at the bar doesn't facilitate conversations.

    Noisey

Me and a set of 3 friends went to Chado after hearing some good reviews about it. However, by the end of our evening, we were left shortchanged. We were seated in the front section of the restaurant. The food was good - but a little pricey for the quality / quantity. The music was blaring and we could hardly have a proper conservation. Other friends of mine have had similar a experience. Chado is a restaurant and not a bar / lounge that it should have blaring music. Made the overall experience a little sour.

    Average food, below-average ambiance

Food is definitely fresh and tasty - but the ambiance is too empty hotel-lobby for my taste. There's nothing 'warm' or inviting about the inside of the 2 room restaurant. Plus, if you're seated in the front section, prepare for the blaring street noise to be your dinner soundtrack. (On the plus side, they nicely agreed to move us to the back room!)

    Great experience

The staff was more than charming. They went out of their way to accommodate my date and I . The food was wonderful and fresh. I would recommend it to any sushi lover or someone that is looking for a great lunch or evening.

    Mediocre

Went for lunch and found the sushi so incredibly mediocre. Sashimi was dry and the eel cucumber roll had no taste. I felt duped because it was so pricey and the portions were really stingy. Would not go back.
