    So glad it was recommended!

After receiving a recommendation from a USPS employee touting Certe as a favorite lunch stop, we decided to give it a try. Jennifer was right on! It was exactly what we were seeking. A warm, cozy atmosphere, excellent food at reasonable prices and good service. We will not hestitate to stop in again.

    Great food, great service

Run, don't walk to this joint or just have them deliver. I've ordered almost everything on the menu by this point, and it's all amazing, fresh, and highest quality. Try the meatloaf, or the steak sandwich with fries, or the make-your-own pasta all particularly fantastic. And the people are incredibly nice.

    Simply the best lunch ever...

...in a neighborhood with distinctly slim pickings for inexpensive lunch that does not come from a characterless deli or a truck. Incredible steak sandwich -- fresh tender beef, Roquefort, incredibly fresh watercress -- and perfect seasoned French fries. I'm tempted to order from here every day.

    excellent food, fair price

Cer te' is a three part restaturant. They have catering which is top notch, a take out area and the main restaurant. The environment in the restaurant is perfect for quick breakfast or lunch. Many people must agree with me because you typically see the same faces each day. They don't try to say they are Le Bernardin but try to offer good quality food. When we use them for our office meetings all of my co-workers are happy. I once ordered from someone else and was almost crucified. For a quick lunch or private affair, Cer te' (formerly Lyn's Cafe) is the best option for great food at a fair price. We are talking about midtown Manhattan, (5th ave &55th st) highest priced real estate in the World.

    Cold?

Ordered delivery and EVERYTHING in my order was cold (soup, fajitas, etc.). I only live a few blocks away, so there is really no excuse. Would definitely never order from here again.

Two Thumbs Up From The Dining Divas!

Certe has been catering our delicious monthly dinners for one year now. Each of the 12 dinners has been unique. The consistency of their service, quality of the food, and unrelentless commitment to keep us satisfied (not to mention full) led this group of 25 Dining Divas to make Certe their official caterers for all of 2007. If this picky group of NYC ladies loves them, we suspect everyone will!
