Good food, incompetent staff
i took my sister to lunch at Cercle Rouge a few weeks back. we enjoyed the food; however, when i tried to pay my check the staff did not seem to be able to use the credit card machine. i was charged three times. the waiter said that the additional two transactions were voided but they never came off my credit card statement. i called the restaurant multiple times to let them know that this was the case. they kept yes-ing me and assuring that this was going to be fixed but it never was. i had to call my card company and dispute the charges in order to fix their mistake. super annoying. will not be returning to eat there anytime soon.

A welcomed surprise
Didn't know anything about the restaurant. Menu looked interesting so we decided to take a chance. We were the winners. Wonderful chicken dish, wonderful steak dish and yummy vegetables that came on the plate. Great service. We are water drinkers and never once had to ask. There was always someone filling the glass. The waiter was pleasant and happy to answer our questions. It is a go to place. Nice room and nice bar too.

A new favorite
We were looking for a Reh Dinner place in TriBeCa and came across this restaurant by accident. We decided to give it a try before deciding - it is incredible! The staff are lovely and more than accommodating, the venue is charming and the food was extraordinary. Especially the monkfish served with baby artichokes and potato and black olive gnocchi. Incredible. Looking forward to our rehearsal dinner and many more to come.

Fantastic bartender and chef. What else do I need?
I have to travel to NYC three nights a week. The only thing I look forward to is to sit at that bar. It's so welcoming. The food is so good, the bartender and the chef make me feel like I'm part of their family. I hate traveling. I love Cercle Rouge. Thank you V. Thank you Pierre. You guys rock. You make my life a little bit better.

That was a great place for a date!
We were so pleased. It's quite rare to sit in a restaurant and be pleased with everything. Usually, at least something goes wrong, a dish tastes bad, the server is not attentive, or just something. Well for a change, everything was great. We actually are booking for new year. They have a show and a live band for the night. Perfect.

Good French bistro
Came here with a restaurant . com coupon, and I'm glad my date and I had one because this place is pricey. The food was really yummy and was a nice dinner overall. Started with escargot and the butttery sauce was too die for and perfect for dipping the bread into. Ordered trout almondine for myself and as yummy as it tasted, it was a bit too buttery and a little oversalted for my tastes (and I'm a big salt lover). All the butter on everything did taste great, obviously butter makes everything more delicious, but I felt like I had to be good and eat raw vegetables for the rest of the week after all that. My bf had the quail with foie gras in it, and the quail I thought was good, but wasn't digging the taste of the foie gras, even though I'm normally a fan. For dessert we shared pears in syrup and red wine with ice cream, and a slice of cornbread - which was a perfect end to our meal. Our waiter was very attentive and had a good personality. Would come back, but only with a coupon since it's definitely pricey.
