Quoted 30 minutes for delivery, food came after 75 minutes, delivery person didn't have bicycle and had to walk to Greenwich St. Food was cold, and not what was ordered. Instead of shredded chicken enchilada, got chicken mole instead. Called them back, now the quoted delivery wait was one hour, so in reality probably like 2 hours....forget that....so tried what was delivered. The chicken mole looked good presentation, but first bite was some very dark meat chicken. Unwrapped each of the (4) mole enchiladas, and the meat in each was stringy, fatty, bones.... Also ordered the guacamole (price is higher than Rosa Mexicana who make it at your table!), comes with a ziplock bag of very greasy deep-fried flour tortillas, no corn chips. Guac was runny, watery. Very disappointed, won't order again.

The food at Centrico is simply delicious! Each time I go, I feel so lucky that I live in a city where I can eat the best Mexican flavors served in inventive new ways. The birria is to die for and so are the scallops and the pork. And the margaritas are just perfect! Then, sittting in the beautiful, big, loft-like room just adds to the magic. Highly recommend it.

My friends and I went here for restaurant week and we were not disappointed. The chips and guacamole were constantly refilled and our waitress was very helpful and attentive. The margaritas were some of the best I have had anywhere, and the rest of the food was delicious. The plantains were especially heavenly. While it is a bit pricey for my normal budget, I am definitely glad I went and hope to go back in the future.

For starters,they charge 6 dollars for chips and salsa. We didnt order any entrees even though they all sounded good. But instead we got 6 apps. the only really good one one was the fried green tomatoes with rock shrimp. it was exceptional. the corn on the cob was ok, but a far cry from other places'. The baked queso fondito was decent but a little greasy. The plantains with black beans were not tasty. Lastly,despite our server's ethusiastic recommendation the zuchini quesidilla was below par. The flavors didn't match well. The Sangria was solid so I say drink up and eat your fried green tomatoes!

Great space, good atmosphere. Service was great, very helpful and food was excellent. Would definitely go back there.

I had been here one other time several months ago w/ a friend and had such a great experience that I was looking for an excuse to come again even though I'm almost never in TriBeCa. So I took an out-of-town friend here last night and the food and experience were just as great as the last time. Hostess was very friendly and accomodated our party of two within 5 mins. on a bustling Saturday night. Started off with the potent but tasty prickly pear punch--yummy!--then on to the sweetbreads to start with the bisteca anita for main. Both were delicious! My friend ordered the fish tacos to start and had the chicken and was very impressed by both. I kept dropping my flatware on the ground (did I say how potent that punch was?) and the minute I did, there was someone there to pick it up and hand my drunk self a new one. Great service! And though the room was rather loud, it was full of energy so I will definitely bring a group of girls here next time before we hit the town. My friend and I also commented on the interesting decor -- a mixture of Aztec-like design with Asian-inspired slatted floor-to-ceiling light fixtures and a stone wall near the kitchen and bathrooms to break up the clean lines with texture. Very interesting. All in all, a fun experience.

I've now eaten at Centrico many times since I first came early in the fall and each time I have loved it! In fact, the restaurant seems to get better with each visit. The cochinita en pipil--shredded pork---is so tender and tasty that I am tempted to order it everytime I come. But I have restrained myself in order to explore the rest of the menu--the excellent ceviches, the ribs (yum!), the steak (delicious!). And the margaritas, in all of their flavors! Any one looking for the real deal Mexican food--and not the rice and beans with tons of cheese of the Americanized version--should definitely come here! Take from someone who lived in Mexico for ten years.
