Diner from Hell
I went into Cathy's Place in June 2012 since I saw their online menu featured a full Irish breakfast. Having come from working in the field, I started heading to the men's room to wash my hands and was instantly challenged by a woman who demanded to know where I was going. I smiled and said politely, "I am just heading to the men's room to wash my hands." She rather snottily said to me "You need a key to use the men's room," and handed me a key. I thanked her and went into the men's room to clean up. After I sat down, a surly Irish-American waitress came over and handed me the menu without a smile. I thanked her, and after seeing that a full Irish breakfast was on the menu, asked for it with a cup of tea. She looked at me as if I had two heads. I repeated my order and showed her what I wanted on the menu. After a ten minute wait (I timed it), she came back and said without a smile "We don't have any Irish breakfasts." I then ordered a regular breakfast. Instead of tea, I was given a cup of coffee. When the breakfast finally came, the sausages and the underside of the eggs were burned. I never got a refill of coffee. I finished and swore that I would never go back to this establishment again. I do not recommend this location to anyone. The food is not very tasty, and the service is slow and unfriendly.
