Castros
We order you about 3 times a week, you're reliable, consistent and always quick. Love the burritos : )

Best Mexican in NYC!
Cheap, good, excellent! Try the Castro special Burrito and the nachos.....

Used to be good
I preferred the Jukebox spouting mexican music in the front. Too high brow and prices have doubled for the same stuff.

Reliable
Castro's is by far the best Mexican food in the neighborhood, and most affordable. Ask them to make the following (not on the menu): French Fries Topped w/ - Melted Mexican Cheese - Refried Beans - Sour Cream - Pico de Gallo Slammin!

What a surprise!
This place rocks! Last night at 11pm I thought I'd have to order from a mediocre place and get less than decent food, but I was wrong. Not only is it an incredible value, the food is just about sensational. It's so good that I'm ordering again tonight, and it's only 6pm. I ordered the 'Carnitas' which came with rice and black beans...it was so good! And pretty fast service too!!

Best Mex I've had in NYC...
I cannot tell you how much I love this restaurant. I lived around the corner from it for three years, then moved to Queens, and my boyfriend and I still head to Brooklyn to eat their food. The beef enchiladas with red sauce are superb, the guacamole is delicious- and they recently re-did the entire inside and backyard and it's beautiful. The burritos are the size of a football, I make two delicious meals out of them. Inside NYC, this is the best you'll ever taste.
