Castillo Ecuatoriano

Castillo Ecuatoriano is hidden away in the neighborhood of Sunset Park. It is mostly a very ethnic hispanic neighborhood. Most of their customers are hispanic. When I walked in there I noticed I was the only guy of European descent there. I was welcomed by the waiters with smiles and their english with a heavy accent. The food they made took around 15 minutes. This part sucked because I would see the food everyone else was eating and I kept getting hungrier and hungrier. The wait was worth it. I ordered Ceviche soup (Shrimp Cocktial) and it was delicious. I then ordered Chaulafan which is a mix of chicken, egg, sausage, steak, shrimp and veggies. That too was amazing. The plate they gave me had so much food I couldn't fit it all in. I had to take it home with me. At the end of my stay I paid a rather cheap bill. I would have honestly paid twice the price they charged because of their nice hospitality and delicious food. Next time I am hungry for some south American food, I think i will invite some friends and go and eat there. I recommend anyone try it out. Its amazing.

The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy. Great place to hang out with friends and grab a lunch. Also great place to take a date. Service is good too.

Very nice staff, they are very social especially if you speak Spanish. I went with some friends and the whole time we were catered to very well. The food was amazing and paired with beers it was a great experience of food while having the alcohol buzz. It was great to eat here, Coming back again very soon!

the Bandeja al castillo is very good. i order it all the time and it's always delicious. i would recommend to family and friends. try it out.
