Used to be better...
While the atmosphere is nice and service pleasant, I wish I could say the same about the food. There is nothing particular about it. When a French restaurant offers UN-tasty mussels...I am not coming back. They also did not have cabernet sauvignon by the glass. Bummer. Probably not go back.

Amazing brunch
I have been going to casimir for years now but just recently went there for brunch. I was delighted. "Croque madame " is a must have, my friend had the tunisian eggs and eventhough they were still cooking in the hot terracotta platte, they were delicious. Highly recommended!

the best affordable french restaurant (and Im French)
Except if you plan to spend $100 on a meal you won't find anything better than Casimir for the French category (being French you can rely on it). The steak tartare is the best I ever had. Even better than in any restaurant in Paris

Extraordinary ambience
My husband and I have been coming to Casimir since the early days and have always loved it despite the service- great food, lovely atmosphere and good music. Imagine our surprise when we ate there last Friday and had a FANTASTIC waitress from New Zealand. It was the first time in 8 years! Casimir- you get the thumbs up from us. Keep up the good work!

Not for date night/romantics
Zagat has always touted this boite as a great place for a date in the "romantic back garden," however, this was not our experience. After enjoying pleasant, peaceful and serene first and second courses, despite the rest of the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff decided to seat a family with 2 very young children (1-3 yr-olds) right next to us. The shrieking and romping around the garden really was not what we had imagined for a "romantic" garden dining experience and things got worse when other patrons took this behaviour as a cue to bring their kids outside for a go. It became, quite literally, a kindergarten.

Escellent Restaurant
My husband and I go to Casimir at least once a week. It is great for both brunch and dinner. The servise is slow, but it reminds me of Paris. The food is amazing, and reasonably priced. I don't think I've tried a dish that I didn't like. Definitely worth trying!

trip to Paris
Gorgeous waitstaff and bartenders :) A girlfriend and I went in on a chilly tuesday evening and discovered a warm welcoming wonderful oasis. We stepped into a little bistro somewhere on the Left Bank. Big bowls of steaming mussels and grilled corn... Lillet to begin and Macon Village during dinner. Somehow the flamenco to Janis Joplin to jazz unlikely juxtaposition didn't bother- it was great! I HIGHLY recommend this little candlelit trip to Paris!
