    underrated.

I get takeout from here pretty often - the tacos are excellent and so is the salad I have tried. Yes it gets too crowded - but that's because its good but small. The alcholic drinks are overpriced. I haven't had trouble with the service but I don't try eating there when its packed. The servers seem pretty laid back.

    Best joint in the UES

This place rocks. The food is top notch and the wine is great for the price. The place is very small though and we feel a lil' restrained when it's crowded. Stick to the off-peak hours, fish tacos, beef rib and torrontes-absolute win

    Friendly and delicious

Great place, non-greasy lovely tacos. Come here at least once a week. Desserts are inconsequential, but carnitas, tacos con lengua and corn are to die for!

    Never Again

We arrived on a crowded evening and heard that the wait would be 15 minutes. We live in NY, so we knew this was unlikely. An hour and a half later, after being "next" several times, we were escorted to a table under a leak in the awning. Noticing our reaction, the host quipped, "Would you like to give up the table?" We then received the wrong appetizer; what we did not receive, however, was silverware. Or plates. Or the water we requested. The food is good, but it is not Mercadito. And it is definitely not worth the utter disdain with which we were treated. To give further context, I never, NEVER leave less than 15% tip, and that is usually if I can see the spit that the waiter added to my meal. We left 0%, which still makes me feel guilty. Until I remember that we ate our tacos on napkins, without silverware, or water. Throughout the meal, we wondered when we would see Ashton Kutcher or any other candid camera-style host. This was ridiculous, and I could not imagine ever going again. I am not that demanding: but I've always considered water, plates, and silverware pretty standard.

    No condiments

The delivery service is disappointing. How can you provide tacos without any of the sauces? Bland and not edible...

    rude

I have eaten at the restaurant and since the food was decent for the neighborhood, called to order food for delivery tonight. When I called I asked if they delivered to the east 60's and the man on the other end shrieked NO and hung up on me. Nice. Never will I go back to this place.
