Best salad I have ever had in New York

The Cobb Salad is to die for here (I actually order it with the vinaigrette instead of the Caesar dressing). The tacos are super delicious too. The only "bad" thing about this place is that their drinks are way expensive ($8 for a beer? I mean, come on). I bet they could get more people in the door--especially at lunch--if they lowered their drink prices. That said, definitely worth a try!

    Delicious addition to the neighorhood

We had a fabulous, extremely prompt delivery order! The tacos were delicious, all offering a fun twist on the usual fare...hearts of palm, crisy onions, etc.

    Hopeless

Finding a good Mexican restaurant in this area is not easy so I thought that this fresh, modern and neat looking place would make a good business. But no. It is a robbery to begin with: two tacos of the same kind (costumer can't mix) together don't add up to a quarter of a normal sized taco. They ask a minimum of $8. Do this in California and you are dead or arrested. But of course the quality of food could counterweight even such insane prices, right? Not in this place, that's for sure. The menu, like everything else has "pretentious" written all over it. The descriptions of dishes are stupid. I settled for a Carne Asada, as a gold standard. It came with a huge load of deep fried onion rings and no carne to be seen. Now, if you gonna serve Carne Asada with a twist like that, at least mention this bizarre choice of yours in the menu! Shocked at the dish I received a generous offer to have simply removed the weird twist off my microscopic tacos. That is, they wouldn't even consider changing the dish!! Well, I was asked to leave after disagreeing to stay with the same order. So, given the violent treatment of costumers who turn a dish back (which I almost never do) I did not have the opportunity to spend a tone of money on other pretentious micro-tacos. Perhaps that was a good fortune. I couldn't rate this place any lower. It has to go. UWS should be free of such scam.

    TINY portions

The food was really delicious. My friend and I both enjoyed our dishes a lot. But the portions! I understand that it is cheaper, but seriously...the tacos were the size you get from a food truck where you pick up a taco as a snack. The tortillas were delicious, but the size of my small-ish hand. Actually, scratch that, they were smaller. I have never been one for giant portions, but the little I got for my money really overshadowed the delicious food.

    Letdown

We were so looking forward to their opening and ready for some "real" decent tacos. Sad to say they were sad little versions of what a good taco is. I guess being from Texas on the boarder of Mexico is going to put my standards really up there... but this was really very disappointing. We usually go into food like this looking for a unique flavor and good quality food. We anticipate that it is going to be someones own take on a style of cooking. But this was just sad. Oh and if you are really hungry make sure you eat before you go their main dishes are appetizer size... I am not into really large portions but this was really not worth the money we paid. The tortilla chips for the guacamole were oily and not fried correctly. My friend ordered the gorditas and this was nothing like them and their masa (corn) discs were so oily that he did not eat them. Not to mention most gorditas are served with the ingredients inside the masa disc (sort of like a pita pocket). The tacos with chicken tasted like stewed chicken or poached chicken with no flavor... there was seasoning but it really did not compliment the stye of cooking or taco in general. Still looking for good tacos...

    disappointment

After reading the hype in TONY and elsewhere I was anxiously awaiting the opening of the UWS version of this taco place. We were completely underwhelmed. I always thought margaritas had tequila in them! Badly fried anemic strips of yellow tail (how would you know?) And I have never in my life have had to add salt to chorizo.
