Stumbled upon Casa one night with no destination other than the Village which we have frequented for years. Our party of 3, without a reservation, was welcomed and seated immediately. Our food was properly paced, contained quality ingredients, was the proper temperature and all around a good value. Our wine was placed on our table and not behind the bar as a previous reviewer wrote. I've owned restaurants so I appreciate how one is run. I will be back!

I've eaten here three times and the food is mediocre - however the service is consistently appalling and this leaves a bad taste. Since it's a local place and I'm a neighbor who loves good Brazilian food I tried to give it a few chances but it hasn't improved and I will never go back. Thankfully now there are other Brazilian restaurants in the area.

Had a great meal at the (tiny) bar. Love the small homey feel of the place and service. Moqueca was awesome, full of great fish and shellfish. Bartender was sweet.

We stumpled on this delightful restaurant about 6 PM recently. Althoguh we didn't have a reservation and were told we would have to be out by 7:30 we did not feel rushed and greatly enjoyed the meal. We will be back.

I had wanted to come here several years ago for my birthday when I discovered this charming little restaurant by mistake. We made a reservation and were unfortunately running late due to Friday night traffic. We called twice to push our reservation time and were told no problem. When we finally got there though, they had unapologetically given our table away telling us that we wouldn't be seated for several hours. Very disappointed, I left. I decided to give this restaurant another shot last night. Again, I made a reservation. This time I was early and decided to wait outside for the rest of my party to arrive. While waiting I noticed that three separate couples had been turned away. When I asked the hostess why, she said that she does it all the time and that they only take reservations on the weekends. As obnoxious as I thought this was I decided to keep my reservation. The food was fine, nothing to brag about. I was disturbed that we were being rushed along by our waitstaff after having barely been there for an hour with a party of three. On top of which, I overheard another table saying to the hostess, "Don't worry, we know we have to leave by 7:30". I was appalled that they would give a timeline to anyone kind enough to dine in their restaurant. Suffice it to say, I will never go back here again.

I went to Casa with a friend on a Sunday night. It took almost 45 minutes for our food to be served, even though only half the restaurant was full and it seemed like a pretty slow night. They gave my friend the wrong dish, and the waiter was very rude about it -- she ended up eating it, or we would have had to wait another 45 minute. The food was plain and overpriced, nothing special and definitely not worth $20 a plate. I will never go here again.

Atypical, thoughtful interior space. The acoustics are impossibly loud and the a/c is cold near the entrance, yet nonexistent in the dining room along the banquet seating. The sizable portion of Cuscux Paulista, didn't compensate for it's indistinguishable seafood and too-salty flavor. The Xinxim De Galinha, also substantial in size, was dry. The sauce tasted tired and overreduced. The accompanied shrimp was flavorful and perfectly cooked -- it probably is the only ingredient in the restaurant cooked al a minute. The mound of white rice in the middle was nicely textured and flavored. Service requires a firm hand from the diner. The caipirinhas are mainly ice and indifferently mixed.
