By far, the best sandwich I ever had!
I was in NYC for the first time a few weeks ago on a business trip and tried to tour the town as much as possible in two short days. After spending the whole day roaming the streets (in the "blizzard of '06"), I got quite hungry but found that most of the restaurants around my hotel were closed. Thats when my life changed.... I noticed this place only a block away from the hotel, but was nervous to try a place I never heard of. After biting into one of their sandwiches, I was so glad that all the other places were closed. The food was so great that I ended up stopping back in the next morning to buy a few for the road back to Chicago. Now, all I can do is look forward to my next trip. Whatever you do, don't pass up this great little spot.

I lived in Philly for 4 years... this is the best cheesesteak in Manhattan, bar none.

OK - is that cool artwork the two girls at Mixed-Up Mosaics? If so - they did an awesome job- also you have the best cheese steaks in town!

Crave-worthy Cheesesteaks!
The Cheesesteaks at Carl's are ridiculous- so much so that I've driven to pick them up in the snow. Lots of steak and goey American cheese- YUM.

What's With The Mid Range Reviews?
Carl's has the best Cheesesteaks outside of Philly and almost as good as some I've had in Philly. I'm a big of a cheesesteak snob.

Good food, poor delivery
Some of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had, but if you live in the neighborhood you're definitely better off picking your order up personally. Delivery took forever and they got the address wrong.
