I live for their frozen margaritas as well as their other margaritas. The fish tacos are amazing, the corn, enchiladas, the soup....I could go on and on. And I love how they're always genuinely nice and never have snarky hipsters as staff. Real people, real Mexican food (by real Mexicans!). Love Carino.

We ordered delivery a couple of times and dine there also a few times. We really missed Bonita and as someone pointed it out this palce is very close to it. The fish tacos are crispy and delicious, the quesadilla (get the one with chorizo) is sooo good! The enchiladas have this creamy spicy sauce... You want to bath on it or bottle it to have shots once home. The serivice is spot on, super friendly, professional and very welcoming. On the wrong side: the sopa de Lima was a voodoo mix with skin, to many bones and even feathers (chiken no cleaned well) and pieces of vegetables to big to be eaten with a spoon. The guacamole is barely two spoons and not the greatest one (but the chips are super fresh).

The fish tacos in this place seriously rock! I also love the steak nachos, this is definitely a high quality place to get food. I ordered delivery twice and both times the food arrived within 30 minutes. The staff is really nice, although service can be slow during the weekends when it's really busy (they seemed a bit understaffed). Overall my favorite Mexican place in the neighborhood.

Authentic it is not! 6 bucks for chips with pico? Guacamole was average at best. The 'carino salad' the only salad on the menu looked pretty, but was completely tasteless. Desperately needed some vinegar or salt or something! As for the enchiladas.... The pork was ok but the sauce was unappetizing! Too creamy and greas.

When Bonita on Bedford Avenue closed late Spring 2009, I like many others were left stranded to find a new Mexican restaurant to fill a bi-weekly fix. While other local destinations have held its place for a time, many menu items were simply not replaced. After diligently searching for leaseable space as far away as Bushwick, the former staff of the old Bonita have wedged themselves in just a block and a half away from the old location, now on South 4th. Thank God. Most of the menu remains as it was: gigantic burritos, fresh guac, mexican street corn. However, the most notable and welcomed change will be the addition of alcohol, a lengthy tequila list adding a bold underscore. The excitement on the young staffs faces is clearly apparent, and wears off easily. You could even say service has doubled, all while the prices remain the same. It's hard to go wrong here.
