The best Spanish food in the area
This place has a great family dinner special. It's not on this menu but you have to call and ask. It's half a rotisserie chicken, white rice, beans, sweet plantains and a 2 liter soda for $17. It'll feed two really hungry people.

Good food, friendly service
I've only really had the roast pork here, but I have to say it was pretty damn tasty. You can smell the chicken roasting as you walk by, so I can only assume that's pretty good too. These guys deliver and are super nice on the phone, not always the case if you don't speak Spanish. Only eaten in once, food was good, atmosphere is kind of diner-ish, and unpretentious. They have a full liquor license which is kind of rare up here. Seems like a family run place, which is a big plus in my book.

Good Food
The food here fresh because the place is always full. How can you have stale food if the place is always crowded. The food is good. We always get the family meal.

Order the roasted chicken to go
The roasted chicken is good but that's about it. Anyone who has had authentic well cooked Dominican food will not enjoy the food here very much. The main problem is that the place is very busy and they don't have enough fresh food to keep up with their clientele. You can't have a good Dominican restaurant with stale rice and beans. It's a popular local restaurant and you'll often see cops in there having dinner and lunch. The roasted chicken is very good and is their most consistent menu item but the service is bad and I wouldn't recommend having a meal here. Get the roasted chicken to go.

Yum!
I ate here with a friend on the first day I moved to Harlem and was delightfully surprised by the delicious food. I had the beef stew with sweet plantains, and it was amazingly tasty. The service was okay. I came back with another friend and had to ask twice for room temperature water, and we had to ask for menus to start. The atmosphere is cute though, and cozy. The lunch special is probably the best value.
