If you love food you should visit

I must say the food in Soule was great. Me and my friends started off with some appetizers. Then I had the bbq with candies yams and mac and cheese. the drinks are very good as well I had the sorrel, tasted some of their mouby (2 west Indian drinks). I recommend everything that I had. The waitress was very nice and she was helpful and the atmosphere was calming(they had some nice soul playing in the background. Oh yea the bathroom was very clean(just thought I would throw that in).

    Worth thre trip

My girlfriend and I visited soule yesterday,I have been dying to get to this place and the opportunity finally arose. She had the crab legs for appetizers she said they were tasty and the oxtails and rice and beans for her entree. She loved them and stated they're wasn't any fat on them which is very rear when it comes to oxtails.I had the whiting strips and they were just ok,I don't think it was fresh whiting but I've had better.I had the stewed chicken with the seasoned rice with cabbage and I have no complaints. My meal was delicious and just a little kick. The owner was there (what's up Roger?!) and he was very nice. It was definitely worth the trip from Jersey and we will be coming back.

    Great Food, Awkward Service

The food here is excellent and it's a great value, but every time I order delivery, they give me a hard time about how far away I am from them - nine blocks and the same cross street, but after I negotiate, they usually say, "I guess it's okay, then." It's definitely worth it, though. Some of the best food for the price in the area.

    Discouraged

If I ever go again, it will definitely be on a takeout basis. Food was good but it took too long to bring it out and was not served as I asked. I would suggest to try the food, but take it home.

    Mmm Good

I saw the reviews so I decided to try it; I'm glad I did. Candy yams are really good, the mac n cheese could use some work, oxtails really good and the appetizer sampler a definite must try! I would defintely recommend this place. Don't go if you're hungry though, you will wait that's because the food is usually made from scratch which I guess is a good thing. But try it, you shouldn't regret it; I didn't!

Nice variety, food is quite delicious

Jerk chicken is very good. Its very spicy but thats how jerk is supposed to be. It was the closest Ive seen to my mothers home made. I love that they offer two sides with standard meals. Most Caribbean places do not offer optional sides Candy Yams were delicious. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese didnt fair to well.

    Best Caribbean Fusion in Brooklyn

I wanted to try something new and we went to Soule for my birthday. The food is excellent with such a wide variety of Caribbean and Southern fare and lot of reasonably priced seafood. From Roti to Escovitch Fish to Blackened Catfish, there is something for everyone. Our experience was amazing from the beginning. The first thing to come to the table is hot corn muffins with warm pineapple coconut sauce (which is to die for). Since it was my birthday, we were each given a complimentary glass of wine. The appetizer sampler with jerk chicken wings, BBQ chicken wings, codfish cakes, fried catfish strips and fried plantain is a must! complete with pineapple curry sauce and the best tartar sauce I have had (and I'm a chef). All the entrees come with any 2 sides you want ( the list has about 15 options) from green banana to mac and cheese to seafood rice. We had the steamed red snapper and coconut curry salmon. The flavor is just bursting. Michelle, who served us, was very knowledgeable and knew the answers to all of our questions. I had a great birthday with great food and great music as well. Nice music that led to the ambience, but not too loud so that you could still have a conversation. Great decor and clean facilities as well!! This restaurant has been open less than a year. I urge everyone to go and patronize it so that it stays in business!!
