Very friendly astmosphere. Too small and cramped for "eat in". Great value for the price. Could use less salt though. I like this much better than the place up on 8th Avenue. Try their chicken soup. That gets a 5 out of 5! Enjoy.

Don't get me wrong - this place has good food, especially considering what else is available in the neighborhood. Their rice and beans are AWESOME. Their 'Regular' size plate is huge and I have to stuff myself to finish the whole thing. I usually order the regular-sized jerk chicken combo, which comes with your choice of rice (white, rice and beans, and they may have brown rice...), steamed cabbage and maduros (sweet plantains). Sometimes they have gravy. They chock it full! The food isn't as spicy as I'd like, and the hot sauce they give on the side is cheap stuff out of the bottle, not scotch bonnet and decidedly flavorless. I also like to grab a bottle of ginger beer, which helps beat the burn :-) It is a tad more expensive than I would care to pay, but caribbean food tends to be that way - but they also give you a ton of food for your money. The place is small but the line moves pretty quick - unless you get there early or on off-peak hours, plan on eating someplace else. If you want the very best Jah-may-kan food you gotta trek out to Bed-Stuy, but if you really need your fix, it's worth the trip! Overall, I give this place 4 out of 5 stars.
